Does anyone know where I can source cable guides or cable stop for a Colnago EPS? I'm not entirely sure if that is what they're called but it looks like its a threaded piece that goes into the piece where you route the derailer wires through on the top tube and down tube. I'm located in USA. Unfortunately local stores around have not been able to help. I can't find anything online, ebay or amazon.
Please excuse my biking terminology ignorance as it's my 1st bike build. Thanks for any help
Seriously, this thing rides like a dream. Snuck out early for the holiday weekend for a solid ride (~92 miles, ~8,000ft of elevation gain).
I was advised to ask here what is the exact model and year of my Colnago.
I've read all the pages "How to identify a vintage bike Colnago" and in accordance with information there my Colnago falls into:
- Master first edition
- Regal
- Super first edition
- Saronni edition - the maximum match but the equipment (see below)
- Nuovo Mexico (no any lettering Mexico, and chain stays are different)
- Mexico ESA
My grandfather said the bike was made in 1989, Colnago in that year made a mix of old frames and new equipment, that is why the bike has a full groupset Shimano 600 Tricolor.
Thank you in advance!
New Dura-Ace? Direct from the Colnago website.
It's a Richard Mille/Colnago collab. They go for a mill(e) pun intended. Only 50 pieces made and yes, Pogi has one but won't be wearing it in the TDF. Notice the lugs are a tribute to the C range.
Crowdsourcing: If you will have the Colnago V5rs, what color would you choose between these 2?
Hello everyone!
I have been on the hunt for a vintage Colnago to restore and ride for a while.
I need your help with a bike that is advertised in a city nearby to see if it is worth the price and has sufficient potential for a restoration. I have included all the pictures I have.
From what I gather the frame is a Colnago Master Olympic "Competition" with an Art Decor paint. Potentially from 1995. I can't make out for sure if the tubes are Columbus which worries me since there were a few "fake" Tange Colnago's produced at this period.
The groupset seems to have been updated to a Campagnolo 10 speed - I can't identify which (shouldn't it be an 8 speed max. for the 90s?). The crankset says "racing", which I haven't seen on a Campagnolo group yet. The wheels seems to have been updated so no Campi hub for me.
It is priced at $400. The idea would be to clean up the frame, and try to find the original groupset piece by piece (which could be costly).
What do you all think? And thank you so much to this community!
Hi guys, I recently got interested in the brand of colnago so much, so I decided to build it by myself for the first time! It was fun but still don't know how to make it easier to shift haha
After building it, I feel like I need 90s colnago for my third one.. So impressing brand compare to other bike brands..
Feel free to drop comments below! Thanks
Hey, I just bought myself a Colango Mexico! I'm actually not sure from which time-period it is and whether it's a genuine Colango Mexico?
As you can see it does have some surface rust - what would be the best way to tackle those problems?
Is this a rare find?
Found this for a great deal. Just wondering what model the frame is and is it legit?
Its been around 15K km now, on the stock supplied BB, and its beginning to sound weird with the creaking / ticking etc. Looking for a good back for buck replacement. What would you guys suggest?
