Five weeks ago I bought a new wheelset for my MTB. The sellers core business is selling wheels for MTB and Roadbikes and he and his shop gave me the impression that he is serious in what he does and sells.

Now after 5 weeks riding, approximately 500km, the freehub is totally gone and as you can see the teeth are completely gone. Last weekend on a 100km marathon i snapped the last teeth, lost the drive train while doing a climb and had to walk to find a ride back.

I can’t imagine it was my behaviour causing this problem. Probably putting +1300watts for brief moments isn’t good for some bike parts?

Did he mounted a cheap Chinese freehub or did i do something wrong?

Today I bought my first NEW bike at the age of 43. Let’s hope I made the right decision.

I just installed this sram xx derailleur and I still have to figure out how I avoid that the derailleur turns on my frame, like drawn with the yellow arrows.

Do I just have to guess how to place the derailleur and the. Tighten the bolt?

Is it correct that the ribbed aluminium u-shaped plate is on my carbon frame?

Thanks for all your help since the installation instructions are not very clear to me.

Ik zou wel een ouwe lul zijn maar ik vind het echt droevig hoe Nederland er voor staat soms. Het boeit niemand meer wat hoe de boel er bij staat, er is geen trots meer en niemand durft er wat van te zeggen.

Onlangs ook bij een ijssalon waar het terras super ranzig was en ook hier weer bij een op een afstand ogende nette zaak, een Kwalitaria in Utrecht nota bene.

Dit zijn slecht enkele voorbeelden. Het stemt me echt droevig soms.

In een bos je honden kak opruimen, in een zakje doen en dan dat zakje met kak maar ergens op de grond flikkeren of op een paaltje leggen.

Wat gaat er dan mis in je hoofd?

Hello wrenchers. I just recently upgraded my groupset to SRAM XX and before I take my bike into the mountains I would love to check if I did everything correctly since this is my first time doing this.

I took my bike for a small test ride and it shifts good. But, there is a small ‘setup’ knob, do I leave it like it is as in the picture?

Is there anything odd or wrong in the pictures?

Please let me know! I installed all the parts according the instructions but maybe somewhere I made a mistake.

Onze Blauwe Regen heeft het goed naar zijn zin. Juist ook in de hitte zijn we er erg dankbaar voor dat hij zo groot is en bijna de gehele gevel bekleed. Ook begint hij zich nu flink uit te breiden op het dak. Qua koeling en zonlicht erg fijn maar is dit verstandig? Groeit hij onder de pannen door? Laten gaan of tot de dakrand terug snoeien?

I recently replaced my cassette because I needed to do some serious climbing. One day it worked but the next day it didn’t and left me frustrated in the mountains.

Do I need to adjust my derailleur?

Ik heb een super grote ‘rommel’ zolder en wil deze graag wat functioneler maken door het dak aan de binnenkant te dichten zodat de wind er niet meer inwaait, er in de winter wat minder koud is en stof van de pannen niet meer naar beneden komt.

Mijn plan is om er een boulder zolder van te maken. Het hoeft er niet zo comfortabel te zijn als in het huis.

Wat denken jullie? PIR plaat tussen de balken? Gewoon aftimmeren met hout?

Vorig jaar een bult takken, snoeiafval, op een hoop gegooid en de boel lekker zijn gang laten gaan. Nu een ringslang van ruim een meter met vermoedelijk een buik vol met eieren in de tuin!

De natuur is mooi!
