Regretting forcing a "normal" life for so long. Here’s what ilearned…
I’ve been through so much lately that led to severe internal burnout. i realized time was just flying by while I was desperately trying to live a "normal" life like any girl my age..i was forcing myself to fit in, neglecting what actually matters just to chase things everyone else seems to have things i haven't even experienced yet.
Sitting here alone, it hit me that maybe I took the wrong path. Not everyone is meant to experience romantic love, true brotherhood, or have a huge friend group. Trying so hard to force these things only destroys ur mental health and makes u neglect the most important person: urself. ur values, ur education, and ur career…
I wasted 4 whole years looking for attention, validation, and trying to get people to like me just to build a social circle like a "normal" human being. Looking back, if I had just put that energy into building my character, landing a good job, getting financially stable, and securing my bag, then i could worry about all this extra stuff i was so desperate for just to fill an internal void.
Honestly, I’m completely done with romantic relationships and tired of begging people to love and appreciate me, especially while I'm already depressed and mentally exhausted. I'm choosing to stop going down this road and find a new path.
I really hope anyone in my position who’s younger than me doesn't waste their youth on this stuff...
Maybe love will just come naturally when I finally love myself and get back on my feet <3
