#21 highest grossing horror movie of all time (unless this isnt accurate lmk)

In the early draft the end was gonna be way more fantastical but would of been too expensive

Kanes favourite shot in the movie is Clark pov when he turns the corner

A lot of the artwork in the movie like the mural Kane made himself as well as the map of the backrooms

Greg loves Bob & Kat, the scenes when they are in the Backrooms with Clark some of it was shot in live action (ended up just being all found footage). His favourite line is when Bobby responds with “Ooh Kinky” which he doesn’t think was in the script

The idea of Clark watching the sci fi movie Santa Claus vs the martians that came out in 1964 was from Editorial Department guy Nicholas Monsour. At one point it was going to be Clark watching architectural videos from the national film board of Canada but they realised that would be too much on the nose. Like is this all happening in his head

For pirate Clark he doesn’t know if it made it in the final movie but someone who had a baby recorded it’s crying and slowed it down at very high sample rate so it sounded like a “giant baby”

Kane really likes the composer Cristobal Tapia de Vee (he did utopia, smile, black mirror)

Even though movie was trying to be for a wider audience Greg mentions Kanes discord server and how he’s in tune with his fans and how he was always considering the expectations of people that are really into the idea of the Backrooms
