I spent alot of time in spring putting these together and while these cards here are the Final draft version I haven't yet got round to finalising and printing them all out but it is on my list for this autumn. So busy custom orders at the moment I haven't had time! (I also need to upscale these too) but anyway let me know what you think. TIA
After messaging around on Alibaba I managed to finally find some paper I could get delivered to the UK. I have a pack of double sided A4 plain and a pack of Letter , one side foil one side blank.
First impressions are really good! Cannot see through at all, the weight is basically identical to real cards (within the tolerance of my scales) and the print is really nice. Has a semi gloss like texture (which I think looks the best). Not sure on thickness as my calipers aren't accurate enough showing as 0.3 so definitely in the ball park.
Caveats are, they need long drying time to lose most of the tackyness and even then bare cards shuffle poorly, they have to be sleeved basically. Which is I think the best we can expect from inkjet paper.
Overall very pleased but it was $40 all in for the 2 packs of 20 sheets to the UK and therefore much more expensive than my current method.
Recently got myself a 3d printer, mainly to do MTG bits, decks boxes, counters etc but came across this absolutely fantastic life counter that I just had to print out. First time printing something in multiple parts really!
Also proxy of mentioned card as well so you can compare and contrast. Need to get some red string now and going to to do the separator pieces in gold next to get that contrast!
