Don't know if the cause of this sound could be repaired by the guarantee
Hello guys. I bought this 2024 Chevrolet Cavalier, turbo 3-cylinder 1.3 L, in Mexico in January. I bought an extra guarantee from the agency, which is provided by an insurance company. The issue is that (I'm so embarrassed), but the first month, I fell into a hole and broke the transmission. However, the issue has been fixed. But since it happened so soon after I bought it, I don't remember if this sound was there before, and it took an average of 3-4 months for my regular insurance
Company to fix it. I went with the guy who fixed the transmission, and he said it's not in the transmission but in the brakes.
It sounds like this when the car is cold, and I change from P to D or R, but even more when I release the brake and start driving. It sounds In the front of the car, and I can feel a subtle vibration on the brakes when I release them.
Once you have this context, I don't know if I should get it checked by the guarantee from the agency, but they have told me that if the problem has nothing to do with a fabrication issue, I should pay for the diagnosis in a shop that is expensive (the agency shop), or go directly to another mechanic to make him check it.
I am writing here with the hope that somebody could know something about this sound, because I have seen a lot of videos of brakes and transmission sounds, and I don't know what to do. Help a girl.
