Weird skin sensitivity/allodynia on tirzepatide? Has anyone experienced this?

Hi everyone,
I’ve been taking tirzepatide for quite a while now. I started with the original Mounjaro, and for the last three months I’ve been using compounded/non-brand tirzepatide.
I’ve been on 7.5 mg for basically the entire last three months, so that’s why this new side effect is really confusing and honestly a little scary to me.
A few days ago, shortly after my injection, I suddenly started noticing a very strange sensation in my skin. It feels almost exactly like a sunburn, even though there is absolutely nothing visible on my skin. No redness, no rash, no swelling, nothing.
The weirdest part is that it’s not really painful unless I touch the area. My skin feels extremely sensitive to clothing or even light touch, almost like the nerves are hypersensitive. At the same time, some areas feel slightly numb.
And it seems to move around.
It started around my lower abdomen/side, then I noticed it on the front of my thigh. That area improved, but then the sensation appeared closer to my knee. The injection itself was in my arm, so it definitely isn’t localized to the injection site.
It’s such a strange sensation. The best way I can describe it is:
“My skin feels sunburned, but there is no sunburn.”
Has anyone experienced something similar on tirzepatide/Mounjaro/Zepbound?
Especially if you’ve been on 7.5 mg for a long time and this suddenly appeared out of nowhere, I’d really love to hear your experience.
Did it go away on its own? How long did it last? Did you continue taking tirzepatide, reduce the dose, or stop?
I’m honestly a little worried because I’ve never experienced anything like this before. I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has had the same thing. 🙏
