i bought some breadcrumbs today to make some breaded tofu for the first time, and typically i check the ingredients list, but i was lazy this time and just figured “how could something as simple as breadcrumbs have animal products in it?” and tossed it in my cart anyway
made my breaded tofu, and i started having second thoughts after i ate a little; something didn’t quite taste right, so i went and grabbed the breadcrumbs can from my pantry, and found that it had milk AND eggs in it??? seriously, why?
i don’t know if i will throw it away just yet since i’ve already bought it and the damage has been done, i’d rather it at least not go to waste, but if i start getting stomach issues later then i’m not even gonna bother using the rest. i feel so stupid for not checking, i’ve found animal products in so many things that i couldn’t have possibly imagined being non-vegan. ugh.
tuning is drop F, i have no idea what genre this would be though honestly
i’ll be in a van for the majority of the time, and the venues we’ll be playing may or may not have refrigerators/microwaves/etc, so i’m wondering what my options are for vegan foods that will keep well in a van and require little/no preparation if possible?
i only recently went vegan (vegetarian for ~2 years prior) so i am still learning what vegan foods are both fulfilling to eat and easy to travel with. any advice is much appreciated!
edit: also will take recommendations for any restaurants/fast food chains that have decent vegan options on the road! i don’t eat out anymore so knowing some places for when i’m in a pinch while traveling would be wonderful
