Hi guys
I’m 25M and I was dating a girl 24F for almost 5 years until last year, we broke up due to severe incompatibility issues but love was ok plenty, she initiated the breakup and tried to get back but I kept the gap because I realized we both needed to grow and become better. We kept in touch for a while and I had left the country in the last year of our relationship, A year and half it’s been and I can’t seem to move on. In retrospect we both were in bad places mentally, I was unhappy with myself and my job and she was stuck in a place with no friends which resulted in a lot of the toxicity and I asked her to leave her job and go back before and I think both of us are in better places.

She told she wanted time and she was prepping for a test, I was excited because I realized I could get a job by then and actually make a move and suddenly she has a proposal and all of it seems too real and she might get engaged soon but I had planned to meet her already before that.

I can’t help it, I cannot close this chapter everyone and everything around me tells me to move on but I know I never will until I speak to her.

Please I know it’s not about moving on, it’s about how I can fix this.
