adopted him a month ago :)

this is donnie, he's 5 years old, and absolutely perfect. i'm so glad i went with my gut instinct and got an adult cat, because i certainly could not handle a kitten right now. he has such a wonderful personality, he's quite firm on boundaries but is also very affectionate and we yap at each other constantly. i love this little man so much.

anyways, wanted to share some of my favorite pictures! normally when he's awake we're playing or hanging out so i don't get to take many photos, but i swear he doesn't sleep 24/7 😅

First vet visit

hello, i hope everyone is doing well!

i adopted my cat donnie about a month ago, and he's been such a wonderful presence in my life. he's 5 years old and has such a big personality. occasionally we irritate each other, but there's an undeniable bond that keeps us coming back to each other :)

anyways, he's a very wiggly guy, and i have tried to trim his nails myself, but he was very unhappy with me, and i'm not about to attempt to trim nails for the first time with him moving around so much. i'm scared i'll cut them too short.

i decided to take him to the vet to do the nail trimming and to show me how to do it, but long story short, how should i prepare for the visit? i have a comfortable carrier, and i have tube treats he goes absolutely bonkers for. is there anything else i can do to make this experience a little bit easier for him? i know it will be stressful regardless, but any little things that i might be missing would be appreciated since i'm a first time cat owner (i had two dogs when i lived with family, so donnie is my first independent pet :))

thank you guys so much in advance, sorry for the rambling!

TL;DR: first time vet visit for a nail clip with a very wiggly cat, what can i do to make the process less stressful for him & the vet?
