Local 220 bootcamp

Hey guys, making this post to help out my local 220 guys prepare for the bootcamp. I haven’t seen this info anywhere else so thought I’d share first you guys. The bootcamp is fucking HARD. For example, for us, we had 3 stations. One is sandbags, one is scaffolding planks, the last one cinder blocks. So, this is how it goes. For me, I started on the sand bag station. There are 5 bags, 95 lbs each. You have to carry said bags individually 50 feet away. Set them down, then carry them back to the original starting point. After that, you carry them 50 feet away again, then once again to the starting point. So, it’s a total of 4 times you have to carry the sand bags 50 feet away. You have 14 minutes to finish, if you don’t finish in time they mark off a point. 3 points and you’re out. Let’s say you finish the station early with 2 mins left. That means you have 2 minutes to rest. Then immediately back to the next station. Which for us was the cinder blocks. It’s 14, 40 lb cinder blocks that you have to carry two at a time 50 feet away. You then have to bring them back to the starting point as well. So a total of 28 cinder blocks you have to carry for 100 feet. You once again only have 14 minutes to complete this. Next, right after this is the scaffolding station. You have to carry 8, 50 lb wood scaffolding planks 50 feet away one by one. Once you’ve taken all 8 to the other side. You have to bring them back TWO at a time. This may not sound like a lot, but trust me, I didn’t think it was a lot either. Until I realized you do it, for 7 hours. You take two 15 min breaks, and a 30 mins lunch. But other than that? Practically 0 rest. Our class had 10 people, 8 quit. It’s fucking tough. If your bootcamp is soon, or you know you’re gonna be at it in 6 months. Prepare like your life depends on it. Nonstop gym, nonstop cardio. Make sure you strengthen your lower back, do deadlifts, farmers walks, and even try and simulate the bootcamp. Work on it little by little. Because, believe me. You won’t pass without the proper nutrition and training. This was also just day 2 by the way. Day 3 is the same thing all day with even more added on, and so is the 4th day. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
