So I just picked up my R1S from the service center for the third time trying to address the alignment issues. I’ve been having with my car. At highway speeds, the car would pull to one oirection or the other first it was entirely left and then I took it in for service and got it back and it was still doing the same thing.

After getting back from the second service, it was pulling to the opposite direction. When I brought it back, we did a ride with a technician who confirmed the issue and said that after doing an alignment, you also have to calibrate the steering to the steering wheel since everything was all digital, fine.

When I was picking it up today, I was talking with one of the other techs who was there when I bought the car who is a super nice guy, and he told me that because these cars are so heavy it’s really hard to keep them in alignment because of their weight and the wide tire so there’s always gonna be some level of drag to one side or the other.

I got it back for the third time and the alignment issue seems to be gone, but now my steering wheel is like 2° off center when driving straight, and I am constantly finding myself trying to like correct it. I just don’t know at this point if I’m expecting too much out of this car? Does anybody else have these sort of issues with an R1S?

I go to get in my car today in the pouring rain, and I’m standing beside it and it’s not unlocking. I have the digital key set up as well as the Apple Watch key and nothing is happening. I load up the Apple Watch which prompted me to re-sign in via the mobile app. I take out my phone and load up the Rivian app.

It says periodically for security purposes it needs to re-authenticate me. Cool I’m standing in the pouring rain. I re-login and then it has to two-step verify me by sending me an email with a code. Still standing in the rain.

I verify with the code and go to manually unlock the car which takes another 10 seconds or so for the car to wake up and unlock.

I get that this is a security thing, but for the love of God, can you please re-authenticate me via a notification when I am not about to drive the car.
