Janet Arnold: 1918 Dress, need help!

Howdy!

Im about to start this 1918 dress from Janet Arnolds Patterns of Fashion, and I am wondering if anyone has made it and has advice? This pattern is massively unintuitive, especially the bodice, and I would love any tips! I understand the scale of the patterns, and ive made a half scale, however i truly dont understand how it goes together. The bodice is shaped like a leaf, and gets folded over, but it just does not match up! There is also not a ton of info in the book about it going together either which makes it tricky. Anyway! Let me know if you have any thoughts!

Too many people in new games

I just had a (probably obvious) realization about the newer games. I think all of us agree that the new games (MID and KEY) just don’t feel like Nancy games, and this is for multiple reasons. One of the main reasons for me I realized is that there are just too many people!! The only people that exist in the original games are the suspects! When I played the new ones it feels so weird that there are just too many atmospheric people around. I also had the realization as to why when I go somewhere and I feel like I am in a Nancy game it’s because it’s eerily empty, and I just love that feeling. It is such a particular feeling. Anyway! Those are my thoughts. Let me know if you feel the same :)
