Looking for Vulvodynia/Vestibulodynia Doctor

Have any of you been to Dr Colin MacNeill in Massachusetts?

What about Dr Mark Conway in New Hampshire?

If so, what was your experience like? What kind of testing did they do, what was their bedside manner like, what kind of treatments did they offer, etc?

I'm looking for help with vulvar thinning/pain after dealing with vulvar eczema, neuroploriferative vestibulodynia, possible hormonally mediated vestibulodynia, and internal numbness. I'm very seriously considering a vestibulectomy as well.

Who are the best doctors to go to that perform vestibulectomy on the east coast (not counting Dr Andrew Goldstein and his crew in NYC)?

I'm willing to travel up and down the east coast, maybe a little west, but not to California.

Would love to hear your experiences, your healing journey, or whatever you're comfortable sharing.

I bought lidocaine 4% from Good Clean Love to see if it could help with pain at my vestibule and inner labia. I tried it just now at the vestibule and all it's done is cause burning.

Is this normal? Could I be allergic? Lidocaine is supposed to numb the area, but it's only made me feel worse.

How do you personally use this lidocaine?

I primarily have pain and itching at the vestibule. Sometimes also on my labia minora around my clitoral hood and the clit itself.

I've read comments that with other lidocaine, you're supposed to leave it on and then wipe it off after a few minutes. Is it the same with this one?

Just when I think sex might be okay, my body reminds me that it will never be enjoyable. Sex always ends in pain, disappointment, and grief.

The last time I tried penetration, not only was it painful, but I also tore for the first time.

When I recently tried oral, it quickly became painful, and caused my vulva to swell.

I'm pretty sure my type of vestibulodynia requires surgery, but I also experience full numbness on the inside, so i see no point in pursuing that avenue.

Every time I try to have sex in one way or another, I'm reminded of how broken I am. I've been dealing with this for 13 years, but the grief doesn't get any easier.

I thought that by trying to seek out help again, that I would find answers and treatments. The only thing I've figured out is a new diagnosis, but that's it.

For those of us with complex issues, there is no help.

I feel trapped in this body. I don't even remember what pleasurable sex feels like anymore.
