Hello, I’m an American (unfortunately) that only knows English. Within the past year I’ve been following Montreal’s professional women’s hockey team and am in a group chat of Canadians that named me an “honorary Queb.” Unfortunately for me their press conferences happen almost always in French. And it only seems right than an honorary Queb knows French. I’ve heard that Canadian French is different from… France French? Is there some type of switch I need to make before learning french or are the fundamentals the same? Thankss
