Any peer support specialists running their own business or nonprofit?

I’m curious if anyone here has started their own peer support business, nonprofit, or gone into independent peer support work.

I currently work as a Peer Support Specialist and genuinely love what I do. Helping people is absolutely my priority, but I’m currently making around $20/hour, and it’s difficult to provide for a family on that long-term.

I also own a small business outside of peer support, so I have some entrepreneurial experience and have been wondering whether there’s a way to combine those skills with the work I’m passionate about.

For anyone who has gone this route:

What does your business/nonprofit model look like, how do you generate revenue, and what kind of income have you realistically been able to earn?

I’d love to hear what has, and hasn’t, worked for you. Thanks!

Mushrooms found in Western North Carolina in the Good ol US of A

Pretty sure the ones on the top and middle are both Golden Chanterelles and I know the ones on the bottom are Cinnibar Chanterelles. Almost thought the ones on the far left were lobster mushrooms due to the false gills being so faint and the cap so twisted up/deformed looking. What do yall think?

Possible cauliflower mushroom! Western NC/America

Here are some pics from a mushroom I found growing from the base of a dead pine tree in western NC. These are supposed to be tasty right? How should I cook it if edible?

Are these Cinnabar Chanterelles or Jack O Lanterns/look a likes?

90% sure these are chanterelles due to the gills but it’s one of my first times foraging and def my first time finding chanterelles! Just wanted expert opinion. Thanks in advance! Located in Western NC, USA.
