[Historical/Dark Urban Fantasy] Need feedback on my plot concept: "Devil's Blood"
Hi everyone! I'm working on a new story concept and would love to get your thoughts on the premise and the main character.Setting & Time: May 14, 1920. A fictionalized, gritty version of Brooklyn.The Plot:The story follows Luci, a 20-year-old extreme narcissist who genuinely believes he is superior to everyone else. While his working-class parents toil all day just to earn a crust of bread, Luci carelessly squanders their hard-earned money.One day, he hits rock bottom after gambling away the absolute last of his parents' savings at a casino. Sinking into a deep depression at the horrific prospect of actually having to work for a living, he stumbles upon a bizarre advertisement. A mysterious organization is looking for human test subjects for a "blood trial." The reward for surviving the test? One billion dollars. But after the blood test, he loses what he loved most: his beauty.
