The Soul Nebula part 2
Hope I don't bore you all as I posted another version of my Soul Nebula yesterday, but did a re-work as I wasn't really satisfied with the detail.
The Soul Nebula. 202x60 sec. subs. S30 Pro. Bortle 4/5
Stacked in Siril using the Naztronomy script Processed in Pixinsight. Experimented with merging two different masks together after using two different Narrowband Normailization settings on both images.
I'm quite happy with the outcome.
The Eye of Sauron/Helix Nebula.
I might have overdone it a bit, but my second attempt was worse.
2x S50 Around 700x20 sec. Bortle 4/5 Pixinsight
Soul Nebula
Still managed to get something out of this after a normal car with full headlights, one car with security and two police cars all three with full headlights and additional searchlights shining straight at my three Seestars.
(Question they asked....." did you see any lights around here tonight?" "Well....")
Soul Nebula.
202x60 sec. subs.
S30 Pro.
Bortle 4/5
Stacked in Siril using the Naztronomy Smart Telescope script.
Processed in Pixinsight and a tiny bit in Siril
Thor's Helmet Nebula
Thor's Helmet Nebula.
Shot on 26 & 27 December last year.
Seestar S50.
575x10 sec.
Bortle 4/5
Stacked in Siril using the Naztronomy script.
Processed in Pixinsight
Playing Now.
Somehow I still had this sealed up sitting in my collection. The final chapter in the Cornetto Trilogy.
The World's End. Soundtrack by Steven Price (Back Lot Music/2023)
Pic 2: Shaun of the Dead Hot Fuzz The World's End
The Western Veil Nebula
The Western Veil Nebula/NGC 6960.
2x S50's
(242x10 sec./145x20 sec.)
Stacked in Siril using the Naztronomy Script.
Processed in pixinsight.
Not too happy about this as I had to use starxterminator twice, because the first extraction took parts of the nebula into the starmask, so I did a workaround and used starxterminator on the starmask as well so I could stretch mainly the top part of the nebula as well as it was missing in the starless image.
Still need more time on this great nebula though.
Playing Now.
Zombie 4: After Death Soundtrack by: Al Festa (Empire of Tombs/2021)
Heart Nebula.
Heart Nebula.
180x60 sec with my S30 Pro.
Bortle 4/5
Stacked in Sirirl using the Naztronomy smartscope scripy.
Processed in Pixinsight.
Eastern Veil Nebula
Finally had a good night with barely any clouds. Had time to shoot a few objects. Happy to put some decent amount of time into the Eastern Veil Nebula for once.
Easter Veil Nebula/NGC 6992
Shot with my two S50's.
Total of 1001 subs (651x10 sec and 350x20 sec)
Bortle 4/5
Stacked in Siril using the Naztronomy OSC script.
2x drizzle
Processed in Pixinsight.
Whirlpool Galaxy
Happy how this turned out after struggling most of the time with post processing galaxies. Still room for improvement though.
The Whirlpool Galaxy.
2x S50.
1551 subs (mix of 10/20/30/60 sec.)
Bortle 5/6
Stacked in the Naztronomy Script in Siril.
Fully processed in Pixinsight.
In the Mouth of Madness/The Wraith/The Pit
Since the forwarder messed up the first time on my delivery of my In the Mouth of Madness copy and decided it was a good idea to deliver it to an unknown parcel shop in a completely different city I had to wait a little to receive my most anticipated soundtrack of all time.
Crescent Nebula. (S50/S30 Pro)
Crescent Nebula. (S50/S30 Pro)
First try of stacking S50 and S30 pro images together. Not fully satisfied as I had way less subs from the Pro. Wasn't able to use drizzle when stacking these together either and it rejected 114 subs all of the S50 but it worked after multiple tries.
S30 Pro 101 x 60 sec.
S50 2245 x 10/20/30 sec.
Stacked in Siril using the Naztronomy OSC script.
Very minor editing in Pixinsight as blurxterminator kept messing up the area around the Crescent itself in linear mode.
Crescent Nebula
Just got a small window last night to test out my S30 Pro again. I still need more time on this, but here's my first fast edit on the Crescent Nebula and surrounding area. Glad the moon was shielded off by the big ass trees I was standing next to.
Not too bothered by the looks of the Crescent Nebula itself yet, but liking the fov of the Pro more and more.
This is 100x60 sec subs (none dropped, which I can only dream of with bot of my S50's)
S30 Pro. 100x60 sec. Bortle 4/5
Network/Veil Nnebula
I tried my first mosaic with the S30 Pro last night. It went quite well, but I could have gotten way more subs if the S30 Pro didn't decide to stop the plan mid session. (Still don't know why that happened) Planning on getting more subs in the coming weeks (probably months)now.
Didn't feel like starting the plan up again, so this is what I've got on the Network Nebula so far.
Wanted to give another try at a Milky Way shot as well, but a neighboring village was expecting an air raid and ruined my chance.
Network Nebula/East Veil Nebula. S30 Pro. 1,3 mosaic. 323x20 sec. Bortle 4/5. Drenthe, Netherlands.
North America Nebula & Bad Milky Way shot.
My first light with the Seestar S30 Pro went quite well even though there were clouds at the start.
Just a very quick edit of the North America Nebula to see what I have.
364 subs with a mix of 10/30 and 60 second subs.
Messed around with Milky Way mode a bit as well. It's a fun mode, but I need a bit more time to see how this works.
First impressions are very good of the little thing.
Excited!
There's something wrong in the universe..... I received my new S30 Pro today and somehow there are clear skies tonight and sunday. 😂
Surprised to receive it it in two days and I am excited asf to test it out tonight and give it it's first session together with it's two big brothers.
Clear skies everyone!
Did a re-work of my Pacman Nebula as I kinda got stuck processing another object, that just did not work out.
This was shot on two S50's on multiple nights all on my balcony (Bortle 5/6) collecting around 8000 subs. (10/20/30 sec.)
My goal was to shoot 10.000 subs all from my balcony, but it's getting tricky now.
Stacked in Siril using Naztronomy script.
Processed in Pixinsight, a little use of Gimp, Graxpert.
I tried to bring a bit more color into the clouds, but it was only messing up the rest of the image. Maybe I need to start watching tutorials some day.
I'm quite happy with it though.
Wizard Nebula
Around 1000 subs (mix of 10/20/30)
2x S50
Bortle 4/5
I might have overdone it, but liked the toned down "normal" red colors.
