This is a bootleg record that was made a few years back, somehow they were able to get the original calypso voice actor to record lines for the outro
I was also lucky enough to get one of the test pressings from this, I’ll try to take photos and share later.
I’m not talking about the big obvious mainstream themes and songs but the ones that capture a specific texture or mood so intensely that it stays with you for days.
A few that reside rent-free in my head for years
Angelo Badalamenti – "Alvin's Theme" (The Straight Story): The way the weeping violin interacts with that quiet, sparse acoustic guitar is devastating.
Ennio Morricone – "Love Theme / End Credits" (Cinema Paradiso): Pure emotional overload. It plays over that final montage of all the censored, cut-out kissing scenes
Dario Marianelli – "Briony" (Atonement): He used mechanical typewriter directly into the score as a primary percussion instrument. That constant clacking drives the anxiety...PURE GENIUS

I want to build a playlist.
I’ve been watching horror since I was 8, but as I got older, I definitely went deeper down the rabbit hole. I remember hearing stories about Faces of Death and Cannibal Holocaust—and the first time I finally watched Cannibal Holocaust, that music alone absolutely unhinged me.
After 26+ years of collecting physical media, I somehow never owned it…until the 88 Films 4K. I finally opened it today, just in time for Grindhouse Releasing’s pre-order announcement. Naturally, I immediately pre-ordered theirs too!
This 4K looks phenomenal. Now I can’t wait to see what Grindhouse did with their release!
Earlier this week I was listening to some 1960s records when I came across an Ember Mood Music Library LP that wasn’t catalogued on Discogs — ERL 3354, Hungarian Moods by the Howard Robert Orchestra (1969).
I’d never heard the record before, and when I got to Track 3, “Crime Fiction” by Ervin Jereb, I was quite stunned by what I heard. It’s a fantastic track.
At that point I had no idea it had any connection with Godzilla. I liked the track so much that I started researching Ervin Jereb and the recording, and eventually discovered that it appears to be the full-length version of the opening music used in Godzilla’s Revenge (1971). Track length is recorded at 3:22.
I just wanted to let people know where the track actually came from and that it does actually exist on vinyl. As far as I can tell, this seems to be the first time the source has been identified. It’s now been catalogued on Discogs. Thanks!
OP found today! it's a bit beat up but the record is NM. Probably one of my favorite horror soundtracks of all time.
A true icon of independent horror whose work left an unforgettable mark on the genre. Tonight, we spin the vinyl and revisit one of his classic films as a small tribute to an incredible career and a life that gave horror fans so many memorable moments.
Rest in Peace, Reggie.
This is a really great special pressing of one of the greatest soundtracks of all time.
“God?… No God.”
I absolutely love this film, and it’s one of the best vampire horror movies out there. Horror and snow are such a great combination and I loved the soundtrack that Brian Reitzell created for it.
Somehow I still had this sealed up sitting in my collection. The final chapter in the Cornetto Trilogy.
The World's End. Soundtrack by Steven Price (Back Lot Music/2023)
Pic 2: Shaun of the Dead Hot Fuzz The World's End
Been spinning them since!
