🩸The Descent steelbook collection 🩸

The Descent is a fantastic horror movie and one that has always made me think twice about ever going into a cave system. Seriously, such a damn good movie. The atmosphere, claustrophobia, camera work, creatures, and kills are all so well done.

When The Descent Part 2 came out, I remember not understanding how it made any sense because the first version I watched had Sarah still trapped in the cave. I didn’t realize I had watched the original UK cut, where Sarah never actually escapes and hallucinates her freedom. The U.S. version changes the ending and has her escape, which obviously made Part 2 make a lot more sense once I finally saw it. Even though it is not the best sequel I still really enjoyed it and the new Steelbook is absolutely beautiful.

🩸 30 Days of Night (2007)🩸

“God?… No God.”

I absolutely love this film, and it’s one of the best vampire horror movies out there. Horror and snow are such a great combination and I loved the soundtrack that Brian Reitzell created for it.

“God?… No God.”

I absolutely love this film, and it’s one of the best vampire horror movies out there. Horror and snow are such a great combination. The 4k transfer seems pretty solid, while this was a bit pricy, I did like the poster and book it came with, the Steelbook itself is beautifully done as well imo.

🐾Tail Wagging Tuesday! 🐾

I figured since everyone liked the last post I did of the pups that come to the shop I’d do another one! Here’s some more beautiful dogs that stopped by 🖤

Please don’t pull the full group if you are going to rage quit.

Still trying for that A+ could trial no damage and 3 donations. I had 2 down, finding the last key on Kill the snitch and this dude rage quit cuz he got downed and pulled whole team. Please if you are going to leave just do it solo. We could have done it without you, wasting others people time really sucks. As someone who works 40 plus hours a week man, cmon lol. Rant over really loving the update as well!

Humanoids from the Deep (1980) “Monster” Blu-ray SteelBook & 4K Shout Factory

Revisiting Humanoids from the Deep in 4K was an absolute blast! The film still holds up incredibly well. The party sequence near the end was especially impressive for its time. I also absolutely loved the ending! It’s easy to see why this has become such a cult classic over the years.

Lee Cronin’s The Mummy (2026) 4K SteelBook

“What happened to Katie”

While some of the characters felt a bit one-dimensional, the body horror, cinematography, and score more than made up for it. The practical effects were fantastic, the gore delivered, and there were some genuinely incredible shots throughout.

It’s been interesting reading other people’s reviews because a lot of the things they disliked were actually some of my favorite parts. I especially loved the split diopter shots, and by the final act, it really started to feel like an Evil Dead film.

Dog appreciation post: my favorite photos I’ve taken at work 🖤

I run the social media for my job’s Instagram, and by far the best part of it is doing a weekly post called Tail-Wagging Tuesday. It’s something I came up with when they gave me the opportunity, and it’s been so much fun!

We even have people who come in just so we can take photos of their pups. We’re a local farm store, so I also work with feed, plants, and other departments, but seeing all these excited dogs come in for treats, pets, and pictures is easily the highlight of my week.

I have two Huskies myself, so I’m a huge animal lover. 🖤

Bubba Ho-Tep (2002) 4K Steelbook

Bruce Campbell will always be one of my favorite actors.
The Evil Dead was one of my introductions to horror alongside IT (1990), and I've been a fan ever since. His physical comedy, charisma, and larger-than-life personality have made him one of the genre's true icons.

Bubba Ho-Tep is such a fun and unique horror-comedy, with Bruce stealing the show as Elvis alongside the late Ossie Davis, who delivers an equally memorable performance. The 4K transfer looks fantastic and made revisiting this one even better.

After the movie, I had to throw on the Waxwork Records soundtrack. Brian Tyler's score perfectly captures the film's quirky, creepy, and heartfelt tone, and Waxwork absolutely nailed another beautiful pressing.

Primate (2025)

Damn, what an awesome film. Primate completely surprised me with just how well everything came together. The practical effects are fantastic, the setting is incredibly immersive along side the soundtrack.

The kills are brutal and creative, and I really appreciated that they kept changing things up instead of relying on the same formula over and over. It kept me invested from beginning to end.

Miguel Umba was fantastic as Ben. His physical performance sold every scene, and the rest of the cast did a great job as well. I honestly don’t think I would’ve enjoyed this movie nearly as much if they had relied on a CGI chimp instead. The practical effects and performances made everything feel so much more believable.

If you haven’t checked this one out yet, I highly recommend it. It’s easily one of my favorite recent horror films and definitely one I’ll be revisiting.

Primate (2025) OST

Damn, what an awesome film. Primate completely surprised me with just how well everything came together. The practical effects are fantastic, the setting is incredibly immersive, and the synth-driven electronic score by Adrian Johnston perfectly builds the tension from start to finish. The soundtrack was an instant pickup after watching the film, and it’s every bit as atmospheric on vinyl as it is in the movie.

I double dipped for Slither…

I honestly forgot I ordered this from Gruv and picked up the import but it’s such a fun one I’m ok with that. Shout factory art I enjoy seems to be kinda rare.

Scream 1-7 Steelbook collection 🔪

Scream 4 looks absolutely fantastic in 4K. It’s a huge upgrade over the old Blu-ray steelbook and I love that the Steelbook design matches the first three films so well. I know a lot of collectors seemed to get copies with scratches on the “4” from Lionsgate, but the one I got isn’t too bad. It almost adds a little character to it!

As for Scream 7, it definitely has its messy moments, but I still had a lot of fun with it. Not every sequel needs to reinvent the wheel, and I enjoyed it for what it was.

Slither (2006) 4K Steelbook

Nearly 20 years later, this one still holds up. The CGI shows its age at times, but the practical effects are still fantastic and this Steelbook is absolutely beautiful along side the transfer.

I always wanted a sequel after that post-credit scene, but even as a standalone film, Slither remains an absolute banger.

I got my Cabin Fever VHS signed by James DeBello today!

I so badly wanted to scream PANCAKES when I met him, but I held it In lmfao, dude was super nice and was actually interested in the release asking about it and even took a picture for himself. Even though this transfer isn’t really good, I’m glad we are still getting newer VHS tapes in today’s digital market.

I got my Terminator 2 Steelbook signed today by Edward Furlong!

This was at NjHorrorcon, super cool meeting him and getting this awesome sequel signed. Already swapped the blu-ray for the 4k as well in here, even though the transfer wasn’t super good.
