Places to meet horror/movie geeks in the PDX area?
I'm 29 and would love to meet other people around my age who share my undying love for horror and weird cinema. I know the Hollywood exists and so does Movie Madness but idk how to translate that into meeting people. Any help is appreciated, thank you 😊
Last update on first date in 3 years
Well he doesn't want to see me anymore lol. Yeah, I'm devastated. We clicked so well, I thought. We were texting every day. He was really nice about it too.. I feel so flawed. Not only am I fat, I am on SSDI because of my anxiety and autism so I don't have a job and I also don't drive. I make these things clear in my profiles. But wow, I wouldn't date me either. I am just so sad about this because I haven't been on a date in so long, it felt so right and to get rejected hurts so bad. And I've always been the one rejected in these tbings, I don't do the rejecting. I know I sound pathetic and everything but I just feel so hopeless again. I am 29. I'd like to be married(or atleast commited) some day and have children. I feel like my time is running out. It is so hard to start over meeting someone new. I just want to give up. Anyway, I appreciate everyone's kind words and support. It made me feel really hopeful. Thank you so much and I'm sorry this last update is a downer
Update on first date in 3 years. It was AMAZING!
He was so cute, so funny, so intelligent and kind. We talked for hours. He made me laugh alot. I found myself very attracted to him. We discussed our views on things and we had so much in common. He was such a gentleman, I've never had a better date than this. I'm so happy he asked me out. I'm so happy I went ☺️
Have my first date in over 3 years. Excited but nervous
I 29F haven't had alot of dating experience. I started dating later in life, I've only dated 2 guys and one barely counted as dating. I haven't been on a date in over 3 years, I came close a few times though. I feel rusty and very nervous. I met this man on a dating app and he is sooo nice, very cute and very my type.
I am on the spectrum and have an anxiety disorder/OCD. Sometimes it takes alot for me to interact with people and I really have to focus on saying the right things and making the right facial movements etc. I'm terrified I'm going to come across as off putting or weird.
So yeah, any advice on how to calm myself or how to make sure this goes well? I'm super excited but I worry I'm gonna be in my head all night. Thanks for any advice, it's so appreciated
