Spam Musubi

This spam musubi I made is just sticky rice + rice vinegar, nori, furikake, and low fat spam! The glaze for spam was made using equal parts soy sauce + sugar, super yummy!

Pesto pasta with basil I grew

I used this pretty simple pesto recipe, but adjusted the measurements because I didn't have quite as much basil as was called for. Also substituted toasted walnuts for the pine nuts, and went a little heavy on the lemon.

Bitter Melon anyone?

My aunt brought me some bitter melon so I made some childhood favorites. Hakka style stuffed bitter melon and scrambled egg stirfried bitter melon.

Stuffed tomatoes today!

Here’s a super easy and quick recipe that I love making on hot summer days: stuffed tomatoes!

Here's the recipe:

Start by cutting the tops off the tomatoes and scooping out the inside. Don’t throw it away, Save the tomato pulp and put it in a bowl. Add canned tuna, chopped hard boiled eggs a nd mayo, then mix everything together. Fill back into the tomatoes and put them in the fridge to chill.

I usually make these around lunchtime and let them chill for a few hours, then enjoy them for dinner.

Woman who never cooks for herself tries to make Chicken Teriyaki

It went surprisingly well!

I know this is probably pretty basic for everyone here, but I felt proud and wanted to share 🙂

Why does my 15 year old box of salt have a link to a video game on it that still works?

Also, why the hell does my salt have sugar in it? What is going on? Am I losing my mind?

I was stirring my onions and looking at this box and wondering wtf this "gather salt with us" thing was ... the game still works...

I know its messy

Made more spaghetti, combined the spaghetti with everything else this time. Also used some garlic tomato sauce. Its more messy than what I usually make but it tasted nice. Even though I used quite a lot of chili flakes I couldnt taste much spice at all. Overall quite tasty
