Bargain flights

Title should be: Last minute bargain flights

There used to be a way to search (or find out) for flights few days before the flight, where airlines were selling seats way cheaper just to populate the plane, if there were unsold seats. So you looked at options available for a flights in next 2-3 days and if price was ok, you took the flight wherever destination was for that flight.

Are there any ways now, to be able to see these cheap opportunities? Does this still exist? You would think, airlines would still try to fill all the unsold seats with lower prices?

(edit, click on post to see chart's screenshot - I have no clue how to make it visible from get go...)

This one is in Heatlhcare which is recently strong. XLV is above 10-20-50 MA's. So general markets are down and bellow MA's, but this sector is outperforming. And stock from this sector is (seems like) getting ready to outperform healthcare sector.

Considering all this, is DVA a buy on a breakout or not?

(Edit: click on the post to see the pictures) I'm too new & noob to mess with water pumps and power and all that complicated stuff. But I would like to have happy Dwarves.

I saw I short video clip, of someone, using stairs as mist generator and gave it a try. Since this is the only stairway, they are forced to climb through the mist. Brilliant and simple idea. Depressurize flow from the river and send it down the middle tile. On each z is placed floor grate to guarantee splashing. Dwarves are in the mist basically most of the time! 😄

There were 10 of them in yellow. Few minutes after I opened the flood gate, they all become light green.

My Dwarfs are making their own quantum stockpiles of seeds on thrones

Few of the rock thrones in the dining room are converted into quantum stockpiles for seeds. What is the main reason, lack of thread/cloth bags? I didn't start with this industry yet, but I have plenty of other wooden and rock containers. Seeds can be stored in barrels, right?

Oh and I do have seeds stockpile, but probably it is not set right. I have bins and barrels set to 0, this is probably the culprit, right? Hmm, I could place few rock thrones into seeds stockpile lol 😉

How to best structure classes for stock data

I have never used classes before and I thought this project could help me finaly get a hang of classes.

Say I would like to download every few days or so 500 stocks that are listed in S&P 500 and also 2000 stocks that are listed in Russell 2000.

Then I would store data into SQLite. There would one one table for SP500 and One for Russel2000. (well I'm already doing this but wrong way and without classes.

Each stock uses this data format, for each day you have:

date, open, high, low, close and volume.

And each stock of course uses different ticker, different symbol. (Like AAPL for Apple, TSLA for Tesla etc...)

So, if I would download one year worth of SP500, I would get around 230 rows of previously mentioned data for each of 500 stocks that are in SP500

What should be class? SP500 one class and Russell2000 another class?

Or, would each stock be it's own class, since they all have exactly the same data structure, no matter from which index they come?

To make things simpler, we can forget about one index (Russel2000) and just focus on one, SP500, so 500 stocks

How would you set up class, that would be as simple as possible to handle this data. I would then download data periodically, say once a week, to add new data to an existing SQLite, then use whole data to calculate all kind of stuff that may come to my mind, like how many stock on any given time trade bellow it's 50 day moving average, or percentage stocks for any given day that ended up being positivem etc, this is just a simple example.

Right now I'm doing everything wrong as much as possible. First I don't use classes.

And each stock in SQLite database has it's own table. (Horror!) And when I start making calculations, things of course slow down, especially, if use database with 2000 tables (russel 2000), ouch!!!

I woould like once and for all set up a proper structure. And I don't do the programming lol, that is my problem, I'm just using this Python as a tool, as much as I can patch together, to try to play with finances for fun.

3 out of 4 starting good

Last week I posted these 4 charts. On Friday first two started breaking out, and one today. One seems like it will not participate, so 3 out of 4 for starter. Will see how many will follow up.

On a negative side, break outs are not happening on increased volume:

Is Thinkpad's warranty transferable?

I just bought E14 G6 on Ebay and laptop is still under a warranty.

Does warranty transwer to new owner? If yes, is this done automatic, say warranty is attached to the leptops serial number, or are there some steps that need to be done, such as registering on Lenovo web page etc?

T14 Gen2 AMD vs E14 Gen 6 AMD

As I was looking for some good T14 Gen2 deals, I'm noticing several E14 Gen6 for similar prices, $400 and less, and I'm wondering, what would be better deal?

While E14 Gen 6 is budget business category, many are still in warranty, (22 months left for this one, ser. number: PF5ARFK2)

R7 7735U, 16 DDR5, 512 SSD, 680M graphic... it feels you get so much more for almost same amount of money. (worse keyboard but not that important to me)

How is heat in E14 Gen 6 with stronger CPU and GPU?

What are your opinions, is T14 Gen 2 really so much better build quality that offsets all the newer hardware E14 Gen 6? And younger age? :)

I'm clueless about Thinkpads, are E14 Gen 6 still Thinkpads or they are from other, Lenovo manufacturing plant?

What are main cons of E14 Gen 6?

Please help noob, I'm clueless about Thinkpads, but want to buy one now 😄

I was looking for T14 Gen2, but I see several E14 Gen 5 (manufacturing 2024) for similar prices bellow 300, with Ryzen 5 75xxU or Ryzen 7, 77xxU, 16GB ram, one even has 2 x hard disk drive.

For 300 is it worth going with E14 Gen 5 versus T14 Gen 2? What are the main drawbacks for E14 Gen 5?
