The edges on each section that are joined by ssk and p2tog look bulky and messy. I’ve tried a few different ways of tensioning the edge but it comes out the same every time.

I’ve seen some examples that slip that stitch after turning but that also creates an edge column that looks different than the rest of the square, just in a different way. Is this just an inevitable part of entrelac? I’m not sure it’s something I can trust will block out over the entire sweater. Before trying to mess with those columns they also had that zig zag look with every stitch leaning right or left.

This has no pattern, I winged it. Aka knit and reknit several times over to get it right. Most of it is stranded but a few bits were done as duplicate stitch. Most of the yarn came from deep stash and leftovers. I only bought one skein to get green for the pineapple leaves!

• Mongo with teeny Donut (w/o Donut on sleeves). The pink for the feathers is a fuzzy mohair yarn but it doesn’t photograph well either.

I haven’t gotten to the 8th book yet so please no spoilers! Currently listening to them all again first. I hope the Daddy Tax is sufficient. I finished this just in time for… 90 degree heat.

This was a labor of love. I had to knit the yoke three times to get the fit right and I think I spent more time doing algebra and making charts than actually knitting. I only realized toward the end that the colors match the hardcover dust jackets really well! Kind of serendipitous since 90% of the yarn for this was leftovers or was already sitting in my stash for years.

Edit: accidentally put two closeups of the same sleeve instead of one of each and I can’t change it. Also not sure why the first photo looks so blown out.
