anyone remember these?

anyone remember these?

I remember seeing these everywhere prior to the second season back in elementary school on YouTube, with speedpaints and everything. If this was actually real and the plan at some point it was clearly overhauled into the potions (of which only 3 of them have been shown and barely so I’ve forgotten about them. Come to think of it is there a point to the ocean one existing? I swear there was an episode where cat noir used his staff as like the thing scuba divers breathe through which implies it’s a default feature like all the cell phone stuff they have. Plus I feel like the fact you can unify any combo of miraculouses is much more useful than any of the potions).

Also if ladybug was going to have Pearl / stone things what was Cat Noir gonna have (if at all lmao).

what if apple’s destiny was worse?

Edit for clarification purposes: I'm not saying that Apple's destiny should've been bad or anything because it being a good one works well in the series, this is just a hypothetical I wanted to think about

Sorry if the title was vague lol.

Anyway I was just wondering, within our main trio of Royals (according to marketing anyway) Ashlynn and Briar both have very tragic destinies. As I remember from the book lore Ashlynn’s mom is going to die and then she’ll be taken in by an abusive stepfamily for child labor. We all already know what Briar’s entails (interestingly I think in the one of the most common original versions of Sleeping Beauty her kingdom or at least the castle and everyone in it is preserved for the whole next century in a magic rose garden so she isn’t alone when she wakes up). While Apple’s destiny requiring her to be a victim of an assassination attempt isn’t good to say the least, it definitely makes her lose a lot less than Ashlynn and Briar lmao. (I don’t even think she is dead for a bit and actually killed by the poison, she just passes out or something).

In the original Snow White tale, the main character experiences the following: her mom who wished for her to be born dying in childbirth, stepmom abuse and four assassination attempts including having the huntsman sent as a hitman to get her heart to be eaten (which he refuses to do, understandably) something involving a corset to suffocate her, a comb to poison her and then the apple all for existing. I guess running away to live with the dwarves also counts.

My question is basically what do you think things would be like if Apple’s destiny included her mom dying after making her exist and all those assassination attempts and she was still happy about it being so? (excluding the abuse from stepmom for obvious reasons lmao) (also I guess this would mean her mom either has to be dead from the start which would add an interesting layer to her complex or die later to kick off her destiny)

It would certainly put all three of them in more equal footing and give them more of a reason to be associated with each other beyond being in the same league. It could even be the reason why they started to hang out to begin with. I also think Briar calling out Apple in Thronecoming and their relationship could be colored by a new problem of Briar wondering why the hell Apple is excited to get PTSD while she is dreading it and maybe even trying to get Apple to Rebel so she would get the boost she needs to feel comfortable rebelling.

what is the point of the snake miraculous having a lyre?

I‘m not concerned about it not being an actual weapon because they’re meant to be tools first and weapons second as there’s already a flute, umbrella, horseshoes etc and the snake miraculous is more of a support / utility provider anyway, so it makes sense that it doesn’t come with something like a sword.

But out of all of them the lyre stands out to me because it doesn’t seem to have much of a purpose and isn’t very versatile? Its not required to activate the power Second Chance, it’s pretty clunky for defending and attacking, it isn’t flexible like the yo-yo and spinning top, nor is it extendable like the staff and unless it has some hidden jetpack or parachute feature it's bad for short distance transportation. Even the phone screen it is has is really small. The most use it has seems to be that you can throw it for some blunt force damage, bind opponents or play music for distraction / concentration and add drip to Luka‘s fit but idk how useful those would be in practice.

Come to think of it I don’t think there is a miraculous with a dedicated ranged tool. I think the closest thing is the dog miraculous’s ball cause it’s a projectile. Maybe the peacock counts if the feathers on the fan can double as throwing knives / daggers but idk if that was shown to be the case at any point. (Edit: I think the horse and pig can count as being primarily ranged).

random idea about ashlynn

I was thinking about how Briar is the next sleeping beauty meaning she must sleep for a century and essentially has narcolepsy as a side effect (or even cause from whatever puts destiny in place) which certainly doesn’t help with that, and then my thought became what if Ashlynn had some form of ADHD and/or dyscalculia?

In a similar way to Briar’s fairytale, getting carried away and missing the time is what (temporarily but it still sucks to say the least) ruins all hope for Cinderella, so what if Ashlynn can’t help but lose track of time due to issues with focus and memory, time blindness and constantly embarrasses herself as a result, especially with how her outfit magically gets ruined if she’s late? You could even have her be a little hyperactive, leading to struggles with motor control and spatial awareness that would cause her to lose her shoes so often, which could be her hyperfixation mayhaps.

Idk I just thought this was neat and wanted to share lol. Maybe I’ll brainstorm more of these for others.
