Kung di pa siguro ako naglakas-loob na lumipat ng department sa company, mai-stuck ako sa pagiging officer forever. Pero, I’m feeling undercompensated with my current job. I am in the engineering industry but my current function is shared services, particularly financial management, contracts management and supply chain management. Yung engineering knowledge ko na na-acquire ko sa industry gamit na gamit ko siya lalo na paano pagalawin ang pera ng department namin and to defend yung budget proposal namin every budget planning season sa top management. Masaya sa work pero nung recently may nag-headhunt sa kin and found out I have the potential to earn 3x of my current annual salary, napapaisip ako na maghanap na ng work.
Almost 10 years with the company, pang-4th position ko na itong pagiging section head(nakailang-transfer ako ng work sa loob ng company) at two years pa lang ako in this position. By rank, assistant manager pero ang minimum rank para sa ganitong position is junior manager. Umaasa ako na masalang for promotion this year pero parang gusto ko nang unahan ng job hunting yung promotion.
Anyone here na nasa middle management din sa isang local conglomerate company and manufacturing/engineering/infrastructure industry? Ganto ba talaga kaliit ang sahuran sa gantong level?
