I've hiked the Black Mountain Crest Trail and summited a few of the Sixers along the way to Mt Mitchell. I'm not really a peak bagger but the list is good inspiration to explore maps. Is the BMCT about as good as it gets in NC? How about the Great Balsam and the Plott Balsams? I've never been over there.
