Issue with brand new E7 Plus
Hi all,
I recently bought a Flexispot E7 Plus from the Spanish store (I’m based in Portugal) and after fully assembling the desk I ran into a really frustrating issue.
Every time I hold the up or down button — or trigger a pre-programmed height — the desk moves a little in the requested direction and then immediately reverses. For example, pressing “up” makes it rise briefly and then come back down on its own, and pressing “down” does the opposite: it lowers slightly and then bumps back up. It behaves as if the anti-collision protection were triggering, but there’s nothing on top of the desk and nothing obstructing it underneath. It’s completely empty.
The behavior is intermittent. Roughly 1 in 5 attempts works normally and the desk travels smoothly until I release the button. The other 4 times it reverses almost immediately.
What I’ve already tried:
• Full reset (unplug 30s, hold down button until it hits the bottom, keep holding until it rebounds and shows “RST”)
• Repeated the reset several times, including the longer version where you keep holding for 20–30 seconds after it stops
• Checked every cable connection between the control box, both motors (M1 and M2), and the handset — all firmly seated
• Confirmed there is no weight on the desk and nothing obstructing the legs
• No error code is shown on the display, just the current height
The desk is brand new, so this is pretty disappointing — I don’t want to have to tap the button in tiny increments to reach my target height.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Could this be a faulty motor, a control box issue, or something else worth checking before I open a warranty claim with Flexispot?
