Flexispot E7 Pro with Ikea Karlby 74” Review

Like most people, a flash drop for discounts might push people away but I was still in the market for a standing desk anyways and didn’t want to spend so much. I wasn’t really in a rush to get a standing desk, so figured I might as well try for one of the drops for fun. Luckily I ended up being one of the ones who got a 60% off coupon on 6/23. I don’t think I did anything special, but just as how some other people mentioned pre-load everything including address and kept Paypal already logged in. In the end, I scored an E7 Pro frame with a CH4B CPU Holder for a total of $206. Both items shipped separately but arrived the next day, I guess I’m closer enough for next day shipping.

Setup was pretty simple DIYing with my previously owned Ikea Karlby 74”. The biggest trouble I had was needing help flipping the desk back over after screwing everything in. I originally had 5x Ikea Adils legs and 2x Monoprice cable organizers, and re-did my entire setup. So along with the E7 Pro, I 3D printed a new mount for my Motu M2, and bought generic 2” heavy duty casters and a 31” Vivo screw-in fabric cable organizer.

Tbh, I actually didn’t get a standing desk to use it for typical standing up use, I really got it for cable management lol Being able to raise up the desk and still sit down in my chair while organizing things is so much less tiring, with my Herman Miller Aeron on the lowest setting I can easily reach everything. Even with the weight on my desk, it’s easy to turn and move the desk if I ever need to access the back of my monitors too. It is a bit heavy to move around, but it’s way better than dragging the desk on Adils legs.

The C-shape also looks much better too and I don’t have to watch my feet as much towards each of the corners, and with only two main legs, I don’t have to try to reconfigure cables around the old Adils legs and can center my monitors now without a leg in the way. I don’t have any thing else to help to prevent sagging so time will tell if just using the E7 Pro is good enough to prevent it on the Karlby especially with two ultra wides.

So far, everything has felt much more convenient and feels like I have way more desk space. After years of re-organizing cables and buying random accessories, this is the most complete I’ve felt my desk could get too.

My only con was that the CH4B CPU Holder didn’t actually fit my 12” tall Sliger SM570. I didn’t expect it to fit width wise, just as long as it fit snug top to bottom. So in the end I ended up not using it and Flexispot support was able to help out a refund. I was hoping I could get my SFF tower off my desk, but I guess for now I’ll just leave it as is. If anyone can meet up in 91709, Southern California, I’d be willing to give to you for free if I haven’t already gotten rid of it lol.

E7 Pro support beam placement

Hey,
I am assembling my E7 Pro to the pre-owned tabletop, which has 85cm depth (and 150 width).

I would like as much leg clearance (with C shape support style) as possible.
I also have a heavy setup, with 3 monitors on 3 metal arms, docking station for laptop, speakers and power strip. All mounted at the very end of the desk.

Given that, It seems to be beneficial to mount the support beam as far away to the back as possible (as long as the legs would not stick out of the tabletop: ~5cm B,
~21cm A).

But is it really? How would it impact stability? Improve or worsen?
Should I mount it perfeclty in the center, so A and B measurements are equal, or can I push it far to the back, so my equipment will have better support, and I will have more leg room?

Previously I had 4 solid wooden legs with metal brackets mounted really wide, and the desk was so back heavy, that regardless I could tip it effortlesly pulling it up at the front.

Flexispot E7 Pro Review

Hi all,

A few things to note upfront in the interest of full transparency.

  • I purchased this desk frame using the discount code provided by exmosss in the discount codes thread. That said, I had already decided to go with FlexiSpot before coming across the thread.
  • I’m writing this review because there is an incentive to do so, and I probably wouldn’t have posted a review otherwise. However, these are my genuine views. At no point has the incentive been dependent on providing anything other than an honest reflection of the product.

After recently reshuffling our home office setups, I needed a new sit/stand desk frame. This is my second sit/stand desk, as I already own an Artiss frame purchased back in 2020.

The desk is for work use, so around 30–40 hours per week. I primarily sit, but do use the standing function throughout the day.

I researched the market pretty thoroughly, and if you’re reading this, you can probably appreciate how difficult it is to find genuinely unbiased information on sit/stand desks. I ruled out the Amazon/budget options because stability issues seemed to be a common theme, but I also didn’t feel the need to go for an ultra-premium or quad-motor desk, as that level of stability wasn’t essential for me.

For that reason, I felt FlexiSpot sat in a nice middle ground: better quality and stability than the budget options, without the price tag of the premium alternatives.

What I’ve liked

  • Communication from FlexiSpot was very good, and shipping was fast. I received the frame within a couple of days. I later ordered a drawer from FlexiSpot as well, and that arrived in three days.
  • The frame itself is heavy, stable, and honestly doesn’t really feel like a sit/stand desk when you’re using it. It feels rock solid.
  • Despite some confusion during installation, which I’ll mention below, the desk is quite intuitive and easy to put together. It took around 30–40 minutes in total.
  • The included cable management system is also very good. It’s worth noting that this is included in the price, unlike with some comparable brands.
  • The desk also moves up and down very quickly — noticeably faster than other sit/stand desks I’ve used.

What I haven’t liked

  • The instructions are a bit confusing. Luckily, the desk itself isn’t especially complicated to assemble. There was a whole set of screws that I didn’t seem to need — I believe these were the B screws — and they didn’t appear to be referenced in either the written or video instructions.
  • The packaging arrived fairly dented, and there was a small chip on the frame. I wasn’t overly concerned, as it was superficial and in a spot that can’t be seen once the desk is assembled. I’ve included a photo for reference.
  • The drawer is also quite small. It doesn’t even fit a controller. That’s admittedly my fault for not checking the dimensions properly, but it’s worth keeping in mind if you’re considering ordering a drawer with the frame.

Overall

I would recommend the E7 Pro to anyone in a similar position: someone looking for a sit/stand desk that doesn’t break the bank, but still offers a good level of quality, stability, and overall finish.

Waited months for the Kana bed; it arrived with structural damage to the rail, and support is not fairly compensating for the damage and wait time.

u/Ramone_FlexiSpot — Can you please step in and review my ticket?

Ok, support is only offering a small flat amount to settle this. The bed is useless with this broken rail. I have the skills and tools to fix it structurally, but cosmetically, it will always be damaged, significantly reducing its retail value. I have been told that, given the massive three-month delay and the severe damage to a premium item, their current cash offer is way too low. Tired of the long wait.

To the community: Should we wait out another long backorder for a replacement part, accept their low cash offer and just fix it myself, or return the whole thing for a full refund and buy a frame locally?

New EN1 desk with leaning leg, what to do?

I don't know what did I do wrong during the assembly, by the left leg ended up leaning inward, tried the reset but I don't think the legs are the issues, maybe I didn't insert the transmission rod in the right way? 3rd picture is the rod insert.

FlexiSpot L-Shaped Desk - Two Legs Won't Fully Retract (Tried Everything)

I'm hoping someone here has run into this before because I'm stumped.

I just finished assembling a new FlexiSpot L-shaped standing desk (purchased through Amazon), and after getting the entire thing together, I realized the legs aren't even.

At the lowest position:

  • One leg is a few inches higher than the other two.
  • Another leg is also slightly higher than it should be.
  • The desk is noticeably lopsided and unusable.

I've already tried every troubleshooting step I could find:

  • Reset/recalibrated the desk multiple times.
  • Tried manually lowering the legs.
  • Unplugged and power cycled everything.
  • Checked that all cables are fully seated.
  • Repeated the calibration process several times.

Nothing changed.

I tried calling FlexiSpot support this morning shortly after they opened. I sat on hold for about 20 minutes before the call was disconnected. When I called back, I got a recording saying no support agents were available, so I ended up sending them an email with photos and videos instead.

Has anyone had this happen before? Was it a bad lifting column, the control box, or something else? Is there anything else I should try before I end up disassembling part of the desk?

I'm honestly really disappointed because the desk itself seems great otherwise, and I was excited to finally get it set up.

Trying to order a kana bed frame

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone had the same issue. I had a kana bed frame in my cart and tried to use apple pay as a check out option, but it said “payment failed” (even tho I know for a fact that there PLENTY of money available on my card to pass that payment).

When I try to change my payment method, I get the “attention” pop up.

It says that I have an order number and that “payment is in progress” but the payment section of that page is empty. I tried to change the payment method to credit card instead of apple pay, and I got stuck on a screen that said “waiting for payment” with a little rolling doodad for 10 + minutes.

My card hasn’t been charged and I didn’t receive an email to confirm anything..

If it happened to anyone, what’s the best course of action?

Need advice mounting CMP051 cable tray on E7 Plus (180x80) - metal frame in the way

Hi everyone,

I'm installing the FlexiSpot CMP051 cable tray under my E7 Plus (180x80 cm) and I'm trying to figure out the best position. Since it's a 4-leg desk, the heavy metal frame underneath gets in the way.

I want to screw the brackets directly into the wood for maximum stability, and I want to avoid making weird spacers to clear the metal. Right now, I have two options if I want it centered:

  • Back edge: Screwing it into the wood strip at the very back. It sits perfectly flat, but the tray will stick out a couple of inches past the back edge of the desk.
  • Inner section: Skipping the metal beam and screwing it into the wood just past it, moving closer to the center of the desk.

Which of these two makes more sense? Is leaving it sticking out the back the standard workaround for this model, or should I just mount it further inside?

Thanks for the help!

E7 plus max frame placement on 60 x 30 butcher block

I have a 60” x 30” x1.5” birch butcher block which weighs around 70lbs I’m guessing.

I will center the frame between front and back edge.

With this beefy 4 leg desk with heavy solid wood 60 x 30 top is setting the frame width to be 3” from each short side a good distance for stability?

I want to maximize space between the legs, still have flexibility for side mounted arms like speaker stand arms or something, but stability should be most important. I am 6’ 1” so it will probably be close to highest height most of the time.

Review & Assembly: FlexiSpot E7 (48x24 Bamboo) + Dual Monitor & Walking Pad Setup

First off, a huge shoutout to the mod here who hooked me up with a discount code. It was a super nice gesture and brought the total down to around $400. Shipping was surprisingly fast too, and it arrived at my apartment within 3 business days.

I’ve had it set up for a bit now, so I wanted to share my thoughts, especially for anyone planning to build this solo or attach a dual monitor arm.

Assembly: I put this together by myself, and I’m kind of a perfectionist, so I wanted it to be 100% perfectly symmetrical. I followed the manual and a YouTube tutorial, but I made one major mistake. Do not attach the heavy motor legs to the base before putting the base onto the tabletop. Trying to move that heavy, fully assembled metal frame around by myself to perfectly line up with the pre-drilled holes was difficult. Mount the frame first, then add the heavy legs!

Also, I spent way too long staring at the manual wondering why I had leftover screws. The manual says to use a certain amount, but then it hit me. I bought the 48" board, which is the smallest size. Because I didn't need to extend the telescopic frame, I didn't need the extra 2 locking screws.

Tabletop Material: I went back and forth between Rubberwood and Bamboo, but ultimately chose the standard Bamboo. The biggest selling point was the 5 year warranty, while Rubberwood only has a 2 year. Also, because it's treated and sealed with polyurethane, it handles AC and humidity fluctuations way better than solid wood, so I don't have to worry about it warping in my apartment. Plus, the light wood aesthetic perfectly matches the rest of my room.

My only concern was that the standard Bamboo top is only 0.7 inches thick, and I use a heavy duty C clamp for a dual monitor arm setup. To be safe, I bought a metal clamp reinforcer. It is basically two flat iron plates that sandwich the desk to distribute the pressure so the clamp doesn't crack the wood over time. My two 23.8" monitors are only 7.5 lbs each without their stands, so the reinforcer might be overkill, but the peace of mind is worth it.

WFH: Total game changer. I already have two memory presets locked in for sitting and perfectly aligned for my standing eye level. The keypad has a built in USB C port which is a really nice touch for charging my phone without running another cable to the wall.

I also paired the desk with a walking pad. Walking at a slow 1mph while working has stabilized my post lunch drowsiness. It keeps my insulin spikes down after snacks and really allows me into a great, upright posture for long sessions.

Stability & Noise

  • The Wobble: At sitting height, it's a rock. When raised to my standing height, there is definitely a bit more wobble if I push on it. I was worried at first, but it's completely safe. My monitors aren't going to come crashing down. Between the monitors, arms, and me resting my elbows on the edge, I've got maybe 50 to 70 lbs max on the desk, and the dual motors don't even sweat it.
  • The Noise: You can definitely hear the motors when adjusting the height. But, it’s a motor. It’s supposed to make noise. It's smooth, takes about 5 seconds, and isn't annoying.

TLDR: For ~$400, the E7 is a great value. If you build it solo, don't put the legs on until the frame is attached to the desk. If you use a monitor mount on the 0.7" bamboo, get a clamp reinforcer. Recommended!

Motor noise

Any fix to this problem? I was hoping I could fix it before having to build a new frame and having to redo the whole setup process. This only happens at incremental height increase. Going from lowest to highest or highest to lowest is smooth and makes no noise. When I go from 28” to 39” that happens. Sometimes it reaches a point and just work smoothly like midway through the height change. Before it was just a noise at the very end of the change but now it is the whole way through

Flexispot E7 review

In my old company, while working there, they replaced some of the desks with standing desks, including mine. I probably used it twice. Fast forward 7 years, and multiple back issues, I have started seeing an osteopath. While he fixes the issue, it is only short term, so I asked him, "how do I fix it long term" - he said "buy a standing desk"

So here I am, now searching for a well reviewed standing desk frame that won't break the budget. I wasn't looking to spend a fortune, and checking multiple reviews, flexispot always seem to be well reviewed. I settled on the E7, which I got for £249.99.

Delivery took about a week, which was fine as there was plenty to sort out in the room where the desk was going (I also had to try and work out how to move a 3m solid oak desk top, to cut it to size!). When it arrived, I unpacked everything, and then started the process of putting it all together. The instructions were clearly written and all in it probably took no more than 30 minutes to put it together.

So, price was within the budget and putting it all together was a breeze, so how is it at actually being a standing desk? I am still getting used to it, and have a reminder on my phone to stand up for 30 minutes every couple of hours. I will increase this as my body gets used to it. But I am noticing that the back problems that were plaguing me, have improved. The desk raising and lowering is very smooth and a lot quicker than the desk at my old work.

Overall, I'd definitely recommend getting a flexispot standing desk, and only wished I'd got one sooner.

Kana king bed in walnut: setup and first night review

I purchased the FlexiSpot Kana Bed in king size with the walnut finish, and overall I’m very impressed with it. The build quality exceeded my expectations, especially for the price. Everything feels solid, well-made, and once assembled there’s no creaking or wobble.
The standout feature is the Japanese-inspired joinery. Assembly was genuinely enjoyable—it all fits together precisely, requires no tools, and only uses a handful of thumb screws to lock everything in place. The corner wedges really lock things in and it’s super cool to see the frame get super rigid so quickly. The instructions were clear, well-illustrated, and easy to follow, making the entire process straightforward from start to finish.
All of the parts arrived well-packaged and in good condition. One of the support legs that go under the bed had a small cosmetic blemish, but since it’s on the inside and completely hidden after assembly, it doesn’t affect the appearance or function of the bed at all.

After sleeping on the bed for the first time, it held up great. Totally silent, no creaks, no movement at all. This frame feels like something we’ll have for a long time.

Overall, I’m happy with the purchase. If you’re looking for a sturdy, attractive platform bed that’s simple to assemble and has some thoughtful engineering behind it, I’d definitely recommend the FlexiSpot Kana Bed.

Order Status Error

When I click the status button on the order confirmation email I see this error: Trade.tradeContractNotExist

I contacted customer service and this is the response:

>We would like to inform you that once your ordered product is delivered, the invoice will automatically be sent to your email. We will send you an update and the tracking number of your order once available.

I have never experienced something like this shopping online. Is this normal for FlexiSpot?

C7 Morpher Dimension question

Can anyone with the C7 Morpher measure the height from the seat pan to the widest/deepest part of the lumbar support, as well as the range of the backrest height adjustment? I have a really long torso/high waist and want to make sure the lumbar support goes up high enough before I buy the chair.

Thanks in advance!

E7 Plus Initial Thoughts

I'm going to follow up once I actually put everything on the desk and do wire management but I wanted to share my thoughts on the E7 plus.

I went insane looking at options online as usual and finally pulled the trigger on this one. Mind you I have nothing to compare it to but my God this thing is a beast.

I bought a solid maple table off marketplace and stripped the top off for use with the frame. The top is 72x36 which is slightly over the max depth flexispot recommends and I can honestly say my worries are gone. This thing is rock solid.

Even at max height I can't believe how worried I was. It doesn't move. At least not anymore than normal furniture. Unless you were bolting something to the floor with the thickest material possible, I can't see how you could ask for more stability.

Anyway, I'll follow up with a 2 month review but my first thoughts are that I am pleased with my purchase!
