E7 Pro right leg tactile clicking/play

I recently assembled my FlexiSpot E7 Pro and overall I’m very happy with the desk, but I’ve noticed an issue with the right leg.

When I apply light pressure to the right side of the desktop like resting my arm on it while writing, there is a tactile mechanical thuds with clicks coming from the innermost square column of the right leg. It’s not like a smooth flex or general desk wobble, and I can feel and hear the column shift between positions.

The left leg does not have this issue (third video)

I’ve attached two videos showing it at both 28 inch seated height and standing height. Clicking is actually more pronounced at the lower 28 inch height as seen in video. I wouldn’t mind minor flexing given the nature of standing desks, but this seems to be more of a mechanical issue on the inner column.

Aeron Classic vs Remastered vs Mirra 2?

(5'8, 135 lbs)

Currently using a very used Steelcase Leap V2. Cushion is kind of dead, but I still like the chair.

Moving soon and buying refurbished. I want to maybe try something different from Leap V2, mainly for studying/desk work. Looking for something a bit more structured/posture-oriented, hence I'm looking at HM.

(although I sometimes slouch or put a leg up, I'm pulled towards the less forgiving HM structure that I think would promote better posture.)

Budget isn't toooo tight, but would only prefer to spend more if it's truly "worth it." (subjective, but I want to hear opinions)

Options (refurb):

  • Aeron Classic Size B with adjustable PostureFit: ~$600
  • Aeron Remastered Size B with fixed sacrum-only support, not full PostureFit SL: ~$700
  • Mirra 2: ~$480

I tried the Aeron Remastered and Mirra 2 in a showroom. Remastered felt great. Not like sofa cushion comfortable, but that's the point right. It felt tailored to my body, nothing felt wrong, and it felt good sitting upright. Mirra 2 was also surprisingly good. I'm open to new opinions on what I might be missing about Mirra 2, since I only had about 20 minutes on the chair.

My dilemma:

I’m pulled toward the Remastered because it’s newer, has the newer mesh/tilt, and it’s the one I actually tried. But the refurbished option I’m looking at only has fixed sacrum support, not full adjustable PostureFit SL, so that makes me hesitate at ~$700.

The Classic has adjustable original PostureFit, which seems like it could be really good for me. But it’s older, older mesh/tilt, and I can’t try one anywhere, so that also makes me hesitate.

Mirra 2 is the cheapest and felt good in person. But part of me thinks that Aeron will be "better" because it's more premium... is the Aeron actually +$200~300 better in the refurbished context? Or would it be better to save and go with Mirra.

For people who have tried these:

What would you pick here? Is Remastered "fixed sacrum" worth $100 more than Classic adjustable PostureFit? Is Mirra 2 the smarter buy at $480?

TL;DR: Coming from a beat-up Leap V2 and want to try HM for studying. Would you choose Aeron Classic with adjustable PostureFit at $600, Aeron Remastered with fixed sacrum-only support at $700, or Mirra 2 at $480?
