LiberNovo early bird question

LiberNovo early bird question

I got this email after paying my 10 dollars deposit, and I plan on getting the Omni SE. if I’m reading correctly am I not able to access the early bird pricing because my order total will be less than $1000? The website also states access to early bird pricing while supplies last, does this mean I will have to rush to purchase my chair when it becomes available?

Haworth Fern , Libernovo Omni or Aeron Herman Miller?

I'm looking for feedback to create a top list of ergonomic chairs from people who have tried them. Personally, in terms of seating comfort, the Fern is very good, the Libernovo's backrest is almost perfect, and the Aeron offers excellent ergonomic posture correction with good back support when reclining.

Two people are sharing this chair

We've had the Libernovo Omni for about two months now so we wanted to share our experience because it's been pretty interesting seeing how the same chair feels on two very different body types.

I'm 6ft and around 176lbs, and she's 5'6" and about 116lbs. I'm the one who mainly uses the chair since I work from home most of the week, but she ends up stealing it pretty often too.

Honestly, the whole reason I started looking for a new chair this year was because my lower back and shoulders were getting wrecked from sitting all day. I spent way too much time researching chairs and comparing stuff like Herman Miller, Steelcase, etc. Eventually landed on Libernovo mainly because the balance between price, features, and generally positive user reviews.

I went with the 48cm seat depth, and it feels big enough for me to sit comfortably. My girlfriend fits it well too, although she's smaller than I am, so she still has enough room to sit cross-legged sometimes, which is probably her favorite way to use the chair.

I did see some comments before buying where people mentioned feeling like they were sliding forward or that the seat felt too short. I do get what people mean about the slight sliding feeling. But adding a footrest made a big difference. I've gotten a lot more used to it now.

The seat cushion is probably both of our favorite part of the chair. It's much softer than most chairs I've tried before, but even after sitting for long hours, neither of us really gets that sore or numb feeling in the hips that I used to get with my previous chairs. It's a nice balance between soft and supportive.

I've actually found myself using the second recline position the most, especially with the footrest. That setup just hits a really nice balance for me. Comfortable enough to stay relaxed when I'm at it for hours, but not so comfortable that I start feeling sleepy. The 4th recline position, though, is definitely my girlfriend's favorite. She literally uses the chair to watch movies sometimes and keeps saying it's more comfortable than our recliners in the living room.

Overall, I'm satisfied with the purchase. It's the first chair I've owned that actually made a noticeable difference for my back on long work days. But I feel like my timing might be perfect with the Libernovo Maxis coming out for someone my size. I might just give this one to my girlfriend.

Researched premium ergonomic chairs for 2 months before deciding, here's how I narrowed it down

Started this whole process because my lower back was consistently wrecked by end of day and I finally decided to stop patching it with stretches and just fix the root cause.

Budget was flexible but I wanted to make sure I was getting the right thing, not just the most expensive. Here's the three I seriously considered:

Herman Miller Embody : the benchmark everyone references and for good reason. The pixelated support system that conforms to micro-movements is genuinely impressive. Decided against it mainly because at $1,800+ it's all passive ergonomics – no active lumbar adjustment, no heat, no cooling. For that price I wanted more than "very good static support."

Steelcase Gesture : probably the best chair I tried in person. Armrests alone are worth the price of admission. Same issue though – passive lumbar, you set it and forget it. Great if you're disciplined about your posture. I'm not.

HBADA X7 : the one I ended up with. It's the only chair in this range where the lumbar support actually moves with you automatically via sensors, no manual adjustment needed. Also has built-in heat, seat cooling fans, and massage – which sounds gimmicky but the heat function genuinely helps during long sessions. Ended up being the most affordable of the three by a decent margin.

Caveats worth knowing: it's heavy so solo assembly is a workout. The smart features run on a separate battery. And the lumbar sensitivity needs about a week of tweaking before it feels dialed in for your body specifically.

Six weeks in, back pain is noticeably better. Hard to isolate exactly what's working but something is.

Happy to answer questions , went pretty deep on this research so can probably help if anyone's going through the same process.

Recommendation for something similar to Libernovo Omni minus the electronics

Hi, i'm looking for a comfortable ergonomic chair for my computer room (study/work/games).
Ideally i'd like something similar to the shape and style of the Libernovo Omni but without the electrical components.
I still want a headrest, good back support, and the ability to tilt/swivel the chair.
If possible I'd like to be able to cross my legs on the chair too without having to buy a specific leg attachment.
I've got no preference for mesh vs foam.
Price wise looking at no more than the Libernovo (non-electric should bring down the price and may improve longevity).
Australia based would be a bonus.

I appreciate any suggestions and recommendations, thanks!

Looking for gliders tall enough for my Steelcase Leap V2(?)

Hello, office chair folks. I got this Steelcase, which I believe to be a V2, secondhand from a work colleague. I want to replace the wheels on this thing with gliders, because right now it sits on a half-inch plexiglass sheet, and it rolls so easily that it's only a matter of time that a minute adjustment will mean a squished toe, paw, or tail.

I got the ones pictured, but they seem to be too short. When inserted, the cylinder is longer than them, so the chair "balances" on the cylinder. From what I can tell, I'm going to need at least 3 inches of clearance to make sure the cylinder doesn't scrape, but the most I'm seeing on the tallest gliders online is 2.5ish. These gliders give me only two inches. With 2.5" gliders, I'd be scraping the end of the cylinder across the floor.

Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this issue, or to work around it some other way? I'd really rather not replace the cylinder unless I have to.

Thanks in advance!

Chair recommendations to fix my inability to sit for long periods of time

Hello guys. I would really like some recommendations on a new office chair for me to get because I have REALLY bad back pain that only gets worse on my bad shaq chair. I can’t bear sitting more than like 2 hours at this point because the pain starts building up the longer I sit. I feel it might be because it just has no lumbar support. I’m 5’11 286 pounds and have like 300-500 dollars to spend on a chair but would consider flexiblity. I also love in the U.S. I saw the new libernovo se that seems pretty cheap and was interested in that but other than that I’m not sure if the sihoo’s are a good fit from the reviews I’ve read here or if theres other hidden gems I haven’t seen while looking.

Need recommendations: Budget mesh chairs

Hi everyone,

I spend long hours at my desk every day for university studies and playing games so I'm looking for a budget ergonomic mesh chair. I'm torn between these options:

  • ASTRIDE
  • Sweetcrispy
  • HOLLUDLE:
  • Annefish

For those who have owned budget chairs like these for 6+ months:

  1. Does the seat cushion flatten out quickly?
  2. Does the chair start to squeak?
  3. Which one would you recommend for long sitting sessions?

Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

Advice for gaming/work chair

Hi guys, im new to reddit, always thought about asking something but never did so here i am.

I know this question has been asket A LOT especially years ago when the market was booming, but my chair is now dust and i have to change it.

I know ppl love herman miller or steelcase but i dont have that kind of money :(.

My budget is around 400ish max 500 if its rlly the bbbbest.

As of right now im considering buying the corsair tc500 luxe bc its large i can move a bit in it, and it looks more stable to use idk with a pillow to maybe sleep/watch movies than it would be on an ergonomic but idk, there is not many reviews on it, ppl say its amazing but still, i want to make sure im not missing out any better deals.

If you guys have some raccomendation i would be so gratefull!! Thanks

I need a chair big enough for me and my 80lb pit bull

I currently use a living room chair so I can sit criss cross applesauce but my pitty always lays at the edge of my chair and I feel bad because I know he'd much rather sit with me. The second I get off the chair and sit on the couch he curls up with me. Any ideas as to what I can get that will be tall enough to sit at my desk comfortably while accommodating for my pupper.

Company became a scam?

Long-time Secretlab owner here, posting because I’m genuinely shocked at how this is going.

Quick background: I’ve spent over €6,000 on Secretlab products over the years. Been using their previous-gen chair daily for 2 years, zero issues, recommended the brand to everyone who’d listen. Recently bought their newest model.

New chair arrived with a noticeable wobble. Not subtle — you can see it, hear it, and physically feel it bumping into your body when you sit normally. The play is at the junction where the gas lift cylinder connects to the 5-star base. I shot a comparison video: new chair wobbling on the left, my 2-year-old previous-gen chair (me sitting on it) rock solid on the right. Same setup, same floor, same person. Night and day.

Here’s where it gets ridiculous:
First reply (Mark, Customer Care): “check if the 4 screws on the multi-tilt mechanism are tight, apply WD-40, wait 3 days, then report back.” The screws were already tight — I checked before contacting them. And the wobble isn’t even in the multi-tilt, it’s at the base. Told them this.

Days of silence.

I send a formal email citing EU consumer law — Directive 2011/83/EU (14-day withdrawal) and Directive 2019/771 (2-year legal guarantee of conformity). Three options: replace with same model pre-inspected, swap for the older model that actually works, or full refund + pickup. 7-day deadline.

They reply with a DIFFERENT agent (Syke this time, like they’re playing tag), completely ignoring my entire formal email. No mention of the legal basis, the deadline, the requested remedies. Nothing.
And then this gem, direct quote:
“Based on the video, I can confirm with you that the wobble is just normal and cannot affect the functionalities of the chair.”
Followed by another request for ANOTHER video, this time of me pressing the backrest. Another 3-day wait built in.

So to summarize:
• Defect documented on video
• Multiple agents passing me around, none reading the previous correspondence
• Each “diagnostic step” eats days, conveniently running out the 14-day return window
• And now in writing they’ve told me a structural wobble in a brand new premium chair is “normal”
That last line is what really got me. A €700+ chair that bumps into your body when you sit on it is “normal”? Then why doesn’t my 2-year-old Secretlab do it?
I’ve sent a final notice — 5 days to commit to replacement or refund, otherwise I’m filing with UOKiK (Polish consumer protection authority), doing a chargeback, and publicly retracting every recommendation I’ve ever made for this brand. Which, given the €6k I’ve spent and the people I’ve sent their way, is not nothing.
Posting here because I know Secretlab monitors this sub and I want this on the record. Also genuinely curious — has anyone else gotten the “wobble is normal” line? Is this a known issue on the current production batch? Because if it is, that explains why their support is so desperate to stall everyone past the return window.

Screenshots of the email thread attached.

Edit: to be clear, I’m not looking to bash the brand for the sake of it. I was a fan. I just don’t appreciate being run in circles while the clock runs out on my legal rights.

Steelcase ID

My outlet has a ton of Steelcase chairs in inventory, both the Leap 1 and 2 for $250. I sat in all of them and this specific chair by far was the best and seemed different than the others. The base seemed wider and I need that as I’m 6’3 and 250lbs.

I’m trying to see what the chair is exactly so I can find it in black. Any ideas?

Torn between new or remanufactured Leap v2

As the title says, i’m deciding between a new Steelcase Leap V2 and a remanufactured from Crandall.

There’s currently a great sale on the Steelcase website and I can get one brand new for roughly 1k.

After speccing out the chair how I want it through Crandall, with the headrest included, it equals roughly 1k as well.

I’ve heard that the Crandall version has a nicer cushion, and it also includes the atlas headrest as well as the fabrics which look very nice to me.

My question is whether a new one with OEM parts offers any benefits other than the obvious being that it’s brand new and untouched.
