Do virtual experiences matter to recruiters?

This question is targeted for first year programmes specifically. Im not sure how I’m going to set myself a part for legal, consulting and finance programmes as I don’t really have past experience and I didn’t get involved at sixth form. are these springpod experiences worth it?

How good is UCL (actually).

I want to preface by stating that I am asking this in good faith, I’m simply confused.

Global rankings rank UCL top 10 in the world, however our own domestic rankings don’t consider it top 10 nationally. Can somebody address this discrepancy?

Is UCL ranking highly by pure volume or is the quality on a global leading level?

Furthermore, how does UCL compare to US colleges? I hear it’s prestige-wise UC Berkeley.

How well is Durham actually perceived?

In my head Durham has always been just below the G5 universities alongside Edinburgh, St Andrews and Warwick, however many say Durham is in fact much lower than it’s made out to be. QS rankings have favouring universities like Manchester, Bristol, Warwick, Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, Sheffield and even Southampton over Durham. There is a particular account on TikTok @uni_explorer which shits on Durham often, but I wonder if what they’re saying is actually true?

I understand people here find this to be a plantain topic, I’m simply asking because I want to better my prospects, no hate to any other university 🫶
