Hurricanes Stanley Cup

I have a genuine question as someone who lives on the eastern part of the state (4 hours from Charlotte).

How is the vibe in Charlotte with the success the Canes are having? The running joke is that people in Charlotte don’t even know that the Hurricanes are in the Stanley Cup. I know it’s a funny joke, but I am curious how it is over there!
