2014 EGR replacement cost

Hey all! I drive a 2014 Prius 4 with around 149,200 miles on the odometer. It’s about time i get the EGR replaced.

Yes i know i can do it myself but id rather not, im disabled, i dont have any tools already, i dont have time, and frankly, i dont want to fuck it up.

I’m located in North texas. My preferred dealer quoted me $1550 parts and labor for the replacement ($1060 ish if i just want to clean it). I called a different mechanic in the area and they quoted me $1450.

I’m just curious if any other Gen 3 drivers have an idea of what’s reasonable now-a-days for an EGR replacement and if you’re in NTX, if you’d have any recommendations for mechanics who are reputable.

At the end of the day, i love this car down, i’m doing the service regardless and if everywhere is basically ballpark the same price, i’m likely just going to go to my dealer as they always do a really good job on this car.

Thanks in advance!

Looking for a specific metal dodge sign

Hey all! So a couple weeks ago my bf and i moved in together and in the process a sentimental item was lost. i’m looking to find a replacement for it but im struggling. everything keeps coming up as a dead end. I have searched “dodge corner hanging sign”, “metal dodge corner hanging sign”, “metal dodge angled hanging sign”, “sku: PNRDB343” (the walmart sku), “open road brands metal dodge sign”, and “open road brands metal angled dodge sign”. The only time i find the image is by searching the 3rd search. Honestly i do not know when it was bought originally, if i had to guess early 2021 or before. The sign is embossed, so the letters stick out. Based in the United States, in texas. The sign is probably about 2 feet long, the walmart listing says it’s 7.13” W x 27” H x 4” D and weighs around 2lbs. Attached is the only image i can find of it, obviously not the actual sign from when he had it.

Does anyone else not have insurance? what do you do?

I mean the title pretty much says it all but for some background. I have an hEDS diagnosis, my joints and GI problems are my biggest issues. I work full time as a hairstylist so i don’t get benefits from my job. The last few years i was on marketplace insurance but with the extended ACA subsidies not being renewed; i couldn’t (and can’t) afford marketplace insurance anymore. I’ve been uninsured since the beginning of the year. I haven’t been able to see any of my specialists, i can’t afford half the medications without insurance and i can’t afford the appointments either. Currently i’m really struggling with pain in my MCP joints in my hand (not my thumb). I need 2 1/2 buddy splinting but it’s very hard to find from not silver ring splints. I’m just so lost and tired. I’m in so much pain all of the time and i can’t do anything about it because i can’t afford to go to the doctor. I can’t change careers because i don’t have a degree and can’t afford to go back to school. Plus i love what i do. i just feel so tired. Anytime i try to search these subreddits for bracing / splinting everything just resorts to insurance and doctors and that’s not an accessible option for me anymore.
