Remission story

Hi everyone,

I’m really just trying to understand what the path to remission actually looks like, and I’d love to hear from people who have made it to the other side.

If you're in remission, what made the biggest difference for you? Was it a specific treatment adjustment, daily habits, or something else that felt like the real turning point?(vegetarian since birth btw)

On a side note, I just need to vent a little. People keep giving advice like "just stay calm," "don't get angry," or "don't hold onto regret." I get that stress isn't great, but we're human! No one is walking around furious or stressed out 24/7—normal human emotions just happen once in a blue moon. Hearing people talk like emotional perfection is the magic cure leaves me so confused about what actually needs to change in daily life.

If you've been through this, what real, practical steps actually helped?

34F - High Grade p53 Abnormal EC - Surgery Tomorrow - Questions on Ovarian Sparing & Post-Op

Hi everyone, I’m 34 years old and was diagnosed with Endometrial Cancer on March 11th. I’m looking for some insight or shared experiences as I’m actually admitted now and my surgery is tomorrow afternoon.

My Situation:

Initially, my pathology suggested a lower-grade EC that was ER/PR and Vimentin positive. We were planning for fertility-sparing treatment. However, a second opinion at Mediclinic on the same slides changed everything: it’s been reclassified as High Grade p53 abnormal EC (ER/PR weakly negative, WT1 negative).

Because of the high-grade p53 mutation, my doctors say fertility sparing is no longer an option and are recommending a total hysterectomy including the ovaries (BSO). My surgeon is checking with a team in France to see if we can potentially retain the ovaries for hormonal support, but they haven't checked my POLE status yet.

I have a few questions for this community:

1)Ovarian Sparing: Has anyone with high-grade p53 abnormal EC managed to spare their ovaries? If so, have you faced any complications or recurrences later on?

2)Chemotherapy: For those with high-grade p53 mutations, did you require chemo/radiation after the surgery even if it was caught early?

3)Last-minute Advice: Any suggestions or tips for someone literally sitting in the hospital bed awaiting surgery tomorrow?

4)Final Assessments: I know it might sound delusional, but I’ve made lifestyle changes and I’m hoping for a miracle. Do surgeons perform a final assessment or "quick look" before proceeding with the full hysterectomy?

I’m feeling a mix of emotions and still hoping for the best possible outcome. Please keep me in your thoughts/prayers. Thank you for listening to my story.
