Hey, first year student here. During SOAR and throughout the summer we’ve been told we should purchase our books before our classes start, my question is, would you suggest doing that or holding off until you meet your professors and seeing what they say? i’m on the fence since i’m being pressured to purchase over $200 worth in books for just 3 classes but also don’t want it to be for no reason.

Hi, i’m an incoming first year student, classified as a junior since i already have my associate degrees (60 credits) to any upperclassmen or anyone whose been in the game longer; i was wondering what i should bring as “school supplies”, what would you recommend? I know rutgers is more so on the side of work being done online but I was still curious about it. My major is political science if that matters, not sure.
