GENERAL INFO
Check in on the app the night before or morning of ahead of time. Courts are numbered sequentially generally though court maps are very helpful. There is a little tag on each net that has the court's number.
Bringing your own shade is highly recommended, as is sunscreen. Pop-up tents can be set up around the outsides of the play areas, these tents will end up being 2, 3,4, and 5 layers deep. Be friendly with your neighbors and respectful of others belongings. Make friends with those around you, it's one of the best parts of the Boatride!
Mobile connectivity is spotty at best. Look at maps and courts ahead of time.asknyour neighbors with help recording scores of your phone doesn't work, or visit one of the few tournament tents set up around the site.
Record your scores on the website/app. Every year there are teams that get DQed because they don't record a score or aren't where they need to be in a timely manner. You will have other courts' balls on your court...stop play for safety's sake, and just replay the point if there is any question.
The main courts and bleachers have moved this year. There is more seating than in years past, but do not rush onto courts to get seating or a better view, it turns into a mess every year.
No pets. No bikes, scooters, mopeds, etc.
FOOD & DRINKS
Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Free drinking water is available throughout the grounds for the players and spectators.
To support Brighton Acres and its fantastic venue, coolers, kegs, and carry-ins will no longer be permissible at the Center Court matches or inside the main building. Brighton will have plenty of staff in the arena to serve your needs. Backpacks are subject to search. Please be respectful of this rule, as we like hosting the tournament at this venue.
There are food vendors, but lines get quite long. Many people bring coolers with everything they need for the day.
GENERAL ADMISSION/SPECTATORS
Spectators are free, there is no general admission fee.
PARKING
In lieu of charging admissions, there is a daily parking fee of $20 per vehicle.
Plan accordingly, it takes time to park all the vehicles and to walk to the courts and set up, be sure to leave plenty of time for yourself.
