my band released our first album a month and a half ago and it's gotten a lot more traction than I expected! I wanted to say thanks to anyone here who checked it out when I posted it on release day

if anyone has suggestions for blogs or sites to reach out to who might be willing to review the album I'd love to hear them. we've submitted to a few but haven't had any luck with that

ditto for anyone interested in playing with us in the northeast, especially if you know house venues who'd be interested in having us. we're always looking for new folks to play with, and we love playing house shows but it's been hard to find them outside our local/ formerly-local scenes

My shoegaze band has started receiving a bit of attention from small labels and I’ve been having trouble figuring out the best path forward. If anyone here has knowledge or experience with the music industry, specifically re: small shoegaze labels and how they operate/ what to expect, it’d be a big help if I could DM you and ask some questions 🙏
