So, I have an active US H1B visa, expires next year September 2027. I live in India.

SkillTune called me and they told

1. I have to pay for flight tickets only.

2. Once I am there, they will let me live in their guest houses. They have 3.

3. They will apply for USSN and respective records for me to start looking for jobs.

4. They will arrange my job interviews, minimum 3 a week.

5. They will take care of my food and stay until I get a job.

6. If there is no job till 60 days, I have to fly out of the country and come back and start the process again.

7. Once I get a job, the package will be around 100k to 120k, after their cut. The cut is 70, 10, 20 first year. 70 is for me, 10 is for visa transfer expenses and 20 is their profit. From next year, every year 80 20. 80 for me and 20 is for them.

Is this a legit deal?

I am a pessimist and I always stay away from these things. But I got laid off from my india job. So I want to see if this is legit.

They claim they won't take any money from me. I only have to pay my travel expenses. So, I am still not able to declare it 100% scam.

It seems there is a curse that only if you go unethical ways, you get famous.

There are 2 famous influencers living in my area. One is finance 100k+ famous and another is fitness 50k+.

Although they do well in their department, they know their stuff, but they definitely don't do what they preach.

Finance:

1. Finance guy always says don't buy unnecessary stuffs, no show offs, bla bla. But what he does is totally different. He bought luxury car, even spent more money on beautifying it. He bought a house as well. I am sure he will always have a explanation.

And he claims he came to Chennai with 2k in hand. But if you see his car, police is written in car glass. Which says that his family, parent is surely from police, govt job, which means pension surely. So much back up. But these influcers cook up stories like 0 to 10 cr in 18 months stories. Reality middle class is guys/girls start career with debt in hand.

Fitness:

2. Fitness girl, althought she is ok fit. Never seen her in gym but you could see her posting stories saying , no matter how busy a day is, she does not miss gym. Like she clearly creats fomo to all women who are busy in their lifes thinking they miss gym. Maybe for a busy woman, working woman, with kids, 3 days a week gym is optimal, but these influencers make it look like they miss, them week, but these influencers are alpha.
