1 week ago on June 30th I ordered grocery online on Blinkit. Delivery man came to doorstep and told me I have to pay Rs 200 because app showed pending .
I didn't believe , he begged me and asked telling that he don't have money for petrol to travel convincing that he will go to store and verify my payment and return it back . Only after I got his GOVT PHOTO ID and his photo I gpay him the money. He said he will pay back. Next day I called him, he refused to return and blocked my number. I am SCAMMED !! , did help out of kindness , but he will do this everywhere , 200 from one delivery, imagine the scam he would have made from multiple orders. This happened in my residence . What to do . I still got his photo , and his IDs. This NEEDS TO STOP !!, for sure he does this everywhere . Please advise

Hello, I am quite new to chennai, I'm looking for nightclubs in Kelambakkam that close late. Any recommendations for places ideally closing around 2 or 3 am?
The past two weeks have been really daunting. I fell out of my routine. I was stressed, anxious, and even skipped the gym. I usually go plane spotting, but I stopped doing that too. I was getting angry for no reason, and it felt like I was dealing with functional depression. Today, I decided to muster up the courage to go to church. I was missing home, so I grabbed some nasi goreng, went plane spotting, and finally got the DW ring I’d had my eye on for the past month.
Ps : I’m sure I’m going to get the tag ^attention seeker^ , RIP dms or I’m karma farming. I guess that’s okay :) , i am sure whoever texts me will have good intentions only. But I don’t reply to dms. Just a heads-up
I am 29M Data Entry Operator working on Contractual Basis at a govt institute in Chennai.I am a Neurodivergent with Level 1 Autism Spectrum Disorder.I am on my own since I lost both my parents and most of the people I know are judging my ND by downplaying or dismissive of it saying that either it is a disease or you are creating it. I am sad but at the same time I am annoyed that people who helped me at my difficult times or did this to me.For the people at my workplace to most of my relatives have either downplayed or dismissed my
Technically I am on my own even though I have relatives but I couldn't depend on them for all of it.
This thing has been going on for more than three weeks and I don't feel like working at the Neurotypical Work Environment.I want to work at the Inclusive Work environment where they respect Neurodivergent people. It is too much of a burden on my mental health of being downplayed my neurodivergence so that I couldn't eat for a day or hurt my head.ND.Only a handful of people are supportive.Although I am skeptic, I am hopeful that people will be aware of Neurodivergent community.
I felt lonely and alone. I need someone to talk to me especially my fellow Neurodivergent community.

Is it advisable to buy a plot near Annanur (close to Avadi) for ₹5,100 per sq. ft.? The plot is located about 1.2 km from Annanur Railway Station. I am 26 years old, my family's monthly income is ₹1.6 lakh, and we currently live in a rented house. I do not own a house yet. I have ₹10 lakh in savings and 200 grams of gold. Would buying this plot be a good financial decision?
There were lots of hawkers selling bangles / earrings / toys / momos and whatnot last week on this footpath near Smoor, Indiranagar. They are all gone because of GBA's anti encroachment drive. It looks so peaceful now. People are able to walk normally without bumping into things and each other. Hope entire Bangalore heals like this.
Hi chennai makkale!!
So tmrw (July 6) is my bday. I'm the type where I feel, birthdays are meant to make you feel sad, its scary every year, what if things go bad nu and a canon event of crying on bday is mandatory. Never had any extravagant party or wishes, its just me seeing other people's birthday stories and wished I have a good one too. This year I want to atleast come out of this shell and have a good memory, so took a day off but enna panrathu therila naliku. Oru chinna plan poten athu already sodhapirchu. But I dont wanna dwell on it. I want to go out with my parents to a good restaurant, nalla suggestion sollunga, not too expensive. But other than this, what can I do guys to have a peaceful memorable birthday? Any small ideas will be appreciated.

Okay so, I had a busy month today but was still able to make time to read this month even if most of them were short books. This month was a very scifi-heavy month (no complaints) - really happy i got to knock off some books that have been on my TBR pile for a while.
The Vanishing Birds by Simon Jimenez - 4⭐ This is such a beautiful comfort scifi read, really incorporated a lot of common scifi themes and made such a beautiful engrossing story out of it. There were multiple character POVs in this book but the author made them work so seamlessly. I wasn't obsessed with it but I can see myself recommending it to people who want to try scifi or want well written stories that isn't too complicated for them to follow.
Hangsaman by Shirley Jackson - 3⭐ This book came recommended to me by one of my favorite authors. A story about adolescence and growing up and feeling weird among your peers. It was a bit difficult to follow along at times cause I wasnt sure where the story was going at times, but I can see myself appreciating this more on a reread now that I know how the story goes. Shirley Jackson, as always, is such a wonderfully weird writer I love her so much.
Automatic Noodle by Annalee Newitz - 3⭐ Short comfort scifi story of a post apocalyptic world where a bunch of robots run a noodle shop - I felt it tried to have too much commentary going on in the guise of storytelling, but it was a decent read nonetheless. Would recommend my favorite comfort scifi book A Psalm For The Wild Built by Becky Chambers instead of this one if you want to try a short (100 page) story that's done well.
There Is No Antimemetics Division by qntm - 4⭐ This is a brilliant scifi-horror story that worked with some very interesting concepts around memory - how do you fight an enemy that makes you forget that they exist? how will you navigate such a world? great thought exercise, and I am very happy i read it as part of a book club with other people involved - cause i had to research theories and opinions on this to bring up during book club discussion and learnt to appreciate the book better as a result.
Several People Are Typing - 3⭐ This was supposed to be a light fun short read about a man that gets stuck virtually inside his company's slack workspace - but it was a delightful little tense book to read on its own. Had some parallel themes with Obsession and loss of agency towards the end, which was interesting. An interesting read, even if it wasnt a very memorable one.
We Used To Live here by Marcus Kliewer - 5⭐ I picked this book up cause someone on twitter recommended this for people who enjoyed Backrooms the film. This is a story about a couple that moves into an old house and a family family of 5 that visits it asking to look around cause the dad in the family used to live there as a child - and then weird things start happening. It's a horror book, its one of those horror stories where you're not sure if there are actual supernatural elements in the story or if the main character is just paranoid and imagining things. I was gripped the whole time i read this, it had so many great breadcrumbs across the story that I can see myself appreciating more on a reread, so much theory and speculation that I can find myself discussing with others who read the book at length (turns out the story used to be posted on r/nosleep long back and theres a whole subreddit where people discuss theories around it). I found myself feeling like something or someone was watching me while I was alone in my room reading this book and all, brilliant book, excellent writing. I love stories about weird fucked up houses. god i love horror like this. would recommend. my 2nd 5 star read of the year. looking forward to reading the authors next book The Caretaker.
That's a wrap up on June. I'm already done with the first book of july (finished june book club book late ah :P) but you'll have to wait one month before i get to talk about that. What did you read this month? Anything you would recommend? Any books from this list you're interested in reading? let me know! ^-^
Hi everyone,
I'm posting this because my wife and I have had an extremely frustrating experience while applying for a new Airtel Xstream Fiber connection.
We registered for a new Wi-Fi connection using my wife's phone number. Shortly after, a local Airtel sales representative contacted us, collected all our KYC documents, and asked us to pay **₹1,500** towards the new connection.
After making the payment:
* We received an Airtel SMS confirming the **Digital Application Form (DAF)** had been created.
* We received an **OTP to activate the connection**, which the sales representative asked us to share, saying it was required to proceed with the installation.
* We shared the OTP, trusting that it was part of the normal activation process.
* We also received confirmation that our Wi-Fi ID had been created.
However, after some time, we received **another message asking us to pay ₹1,500 again**, which immediately raised concerns.
We tried calling the sales representative repeatedly, but he completely stopped responding.
It's now been **more than 24 hours**, and we have been continuously trying to reach him.
What's even more frustrating is that **when we call from our registered number, he doesn't answer. But when we call from a different number, he picks up immediately and keeps giving false assurances like:**
> "The engineer has already been assigned."
> "He'll reach your doorstep within one hour."
These promises have been repeated multiple times, yet **no engineer has ever arrived**, and nothing has happened.
At this point, we feel completely helpless. We depend on Wi-Fi for our daily work, and because of these repeated false commitments, we've wasted an entire day waiting.
I'm **not accusing Airtel as a company**, but this has been our experience with this particular sales representative, and it has seriously affected our trust in the process.
I have:
* ✅ Payment proof
* ✅ Airtel SMS confirming the DAF and activation
* ✅ Wi-Fi ID confirmation
* ✅ Screenshots of the sales representative's contact details
* ✅ Call history showing repeated attempts to contact him
Has anyone faced something similar?
* How did you get it resolved?
* Should I demand a refund?
* Is there any Airtel escalation team that actually responds?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Note: I've already tried contacting the representative multiple times without success.
Ordered ZTE F50 Portable Wi-Fi on April 2nd, 2026, from Wintrack Inc. Order id #1493W
After seeing their claim on Instagram about 15-day delivery, I asked them on WhatsApp, and they said it would be delivered in 20 working days, I was fine with that
I waited a month and contacted them again on May 1st. The seller said they needed 10 more days.
This kept happening until I asked for my refund on June 15th.
The seller has been ignoring me since. It's July 5th today, and I haven't received any tracking ID or proper communication about my order or refund,
I would understand if they communicate about delay but their customer support is just horrible
I trusted them after seeing the whole fiasco about chennai custom asking bribe and them not backing down
But now, I dont even know who to trust
I have filed complaint on consumer portal and even informed them before doing so
Now after 3 days i am posting this on reddit.
It's not a good feeling when you have to ask for your own hard earned money back and get ignored
Dear moderators I didn't know which sub would be right to post, apologies if it breaks any rule
