I like the balance of a nature name with a cool, edgy name. If this baby boy was going to be a girl the name choice was Maeve Arbor or Briar Sloan. Mom & dad both like Alder, but i (mom) am worried it's too weird? We live in the US. What do you think?
Started off with Johnston Canyon at 8am (easy parking not crowded), then Silverton Falls (very nice), had a break then did Rawson Lake in the evening (very muddy, was glad to have trekking poles, saw big horn sheep on the road on the way). The next day we did Peyto Lake (very nice), Wilcox Pass (favorite of the trip), and a stop at Bow Lake (saw a black bear on the road on the way). Today we parked at the Louise Ski Resort, rode the gondola up, hiked Kicking Horse Viewpoint (very nice), then ate at Whitehorn Bistro (saw a mom and cub grizzly on the hillside of the trail we were on an hour prior viewed from the outside seating area) then took the Ski Louise shuttle to Lake Louise at 1pm (way too crowded, kind of wish we skipped it) Heading out tomorrow, overall a wonderful experience, appreciated all the advice I've read on this sub while planning.
