Am I the only one who thinks this year's club jerseys are overhyped?

Honestly, I don't think this year's club jerseys are that great, especially compared to Barcelona, Madrid and some of the other teams.

The hype around them feels much bigger than the actual designs, at least to me.

The World Cup jerseys were much better this time — some of them were genuinely 🔥.

What do you guys think?

I built a local marketplace, but getting people to actually use it is much harder than building it

I’ve spent a long time building a local marketplace that helps people discover nearby businesses and services.

The product is live, and I’ve already tested it in one city. I learned a lot from that process and got some encouraging results.

The problem I’m facing now is distribution.

Building the product was something I could control. Getting enough people to actually discover and use it is a completely different challenge.

I’ve tried small marketing experiments and got some results, but I haven’t had enough budget to scale what was working.

For founders who have taken a product from “built” → “people actually use it”:

What marketing or distribution strategy actually made a difference for you?

I’m not looking for generic “run ads” advice. I’m trying to figure out how to get the first real wave of users without burning through my remaining budget.

I’d also really appreciate honest feedback on whether I’m approaching this stage the right way.

If anyone here has a strong network in local businesses, marketing, growth, or distribution, or knows someone who could genuinely help with what I’m building, I’d really appreciate an introduction.

I’m mainly here to learn from people who have already gone through this stage.

Anyone else just waiting for La Liga and Premier League to start?

So many friendlies have already happened and I’m honestly getting impatient now 😂

I just want the actual league football to start. La Liga is almost here, but waiting for the Premier League feels even longer

I'm bootstrapping a startup and running out of money — what would you do?

I'm building a local marketplace startup and I'm at a point where I'm not sure what the smartest next step is.

The product is mostly built, and I've started getting businesses onto the platform. The goal is to help people discover local businesses and services while giving smaller businesses more visibility.

I've been funding everything myself and have tried different marketing experiments to get the first users. But honestly, my money is starting to run out, and I still need to spend on marketing and growth.

The problem is, I don't really know how the funding side works either. I've never raised money before, so I don't know how founders actually approach investors, find the right funding programs, or even know when they're ready to raise.

Right now I'm considering:

Keep bootstrapping and grow slowly

Focus on generating revenue first

Start exploring funding or accelerators

If you were in my situation, what would you do?

And for someone who has never raised funding before, where should they even start learning about the process?

I'd really appreciate honest advice from founders who've been through this stage.
