I'm looking for some compassionate yet honest advice on a life dilemma I'm facing at the moment.

I got a place on an MA acting course at a top drama school. We started three weeks ago but I'm really struggling with whether the course is right for me.

A little about my background:

I don't have any formal actor training but have been involved in grassroots and community theatre for the past two years. I also have a BA in therapeutic arts and an MA in Applied Theatre, and am really passionate about developing as a writer and producer of queer shows.

I believe I'm already making inroads in terms of networking in a large city adjacent to mine.

I was able to produce my own show, on a small scale, last year and again this summer. It sold very well and got good reviews. I'm very proud of it.

I do dream of acting at a high level however, and also of representing my community as a queer actor. I would dearly like to make some kind of a living from theatre (I realise this is probably not something experienced by the majority of actors but I'm determined nevertheless).

I've been in uni' for the past 5 years, with an occasional 6 month break between courses, and have found the drama school classes so far quite overwhelming. It doesn't feel so much that the content troubles me but rather that I feel agitated that I have no time or energy to keep writing and getting involved in local, grassroots queer productions.

I'm also neuro divergent, and it would be fair to say that I struggle with 9-5 structures that have little flexibility.

I feel pulled in two directions and am constantly catastrophising about whether I'm throwing a fulfilling career away by quitting the course.

I've looked into part time, Spotlight accredited training, and wondered whether that would give me the same kind of momentum as Conservatoire training would (I imagine not but perhaps it simply comes down to hard work in the end - something I'm absolutely prepared to put in.)

I do want to become an accomplished actor. I've spent the past two years studying and getting experience, with the explicit purpose of going to drama school. To drop it feels incredibly foolish but I just don't know if it fits me.

I'm not asking for people to tell me the right answer but I'd very much appreciate knowledge and advice.

Hey peeps, I'm on the hunt for an asteroids clone (or asteroids-style game) I remember me and my Dad finding years ago. I'm pretty sure we were running XP at the time.

I remember being enamoured with it because once installed, you could choose a drive or folder on your pc that the game would scan. Once in game, your ship represented antivirus software that had to shoot malware from amongst the files on your pc. The asteroids were sprites literally made from the icons and filenames in the drive you'd allowed the game to scan from.

It was so cool. I wish I could find it. I imagine it was a small, independent shareware game or such. I think my Dad found it online and downloaded it to a usb or something, which is now long gone.

If anyone remembers it, I'd love to try and find it again.

I'm finding it hard to tell if I'm passing on vowel sounds. I have a soft UK-Liverpudlian accent, which can sound a bit squeaky anyway - so idk if it's just that showing through (which I'm fine with), or if I'm using too much twang.

Any constructive thoughts are appreciated - or if you notice something else, I'm all ears.
