Dubai Musk from Private Blends???
Just wanted to put it out there for everyone:
I ordered an Al Ambra Dubai Musk from Private Blends as I’ve been ordering from them for as long as I can remember and originally heard they were a trustworthy retailer and the best one to buy from in Aus as well as being the cheapest I’ve found. When it arrived, I noticed that the batch code and serial number had literally been cut out of the box with what looks like a Stanley knife (photo attached).
I’m genuinely confused. Why would a trusted company be getting a knife and cutting batch numbers out of fragrance boxes? It just seems so suspicious. I can’t think of a single reason why a legitimate retailer would do that.
What makes it even worse is that I bought this as a gift for someone so instead of handing over a brand new fragrance I had to give them one that looked like it’d been tampered with before it even got to me. It doesn’t exactly scream trustworthy or reputable when you’re cutting essential information off products before sending them to customers.
I’m honestly both angry and disappointed. Now this experience left me with a bitter taste in my mouth and I know I’ll ever be shopping with them again. Private Blends markets themselves as a reputable retailer, but this is the complete opposite of what I’d expect. If your products are genuine, why remove the batch code? It just creates unnecessary doubt and makes customers question what they’re receiving.
This just angered me so much I had to express my frustration and disappointment with the rest of the fragrance community.
