Another week in paradise my friends!!!

Wearing my newest addition, SWY Absolutely today. I was initially going to just keep this one on the back burner as I already have a number of the flankers but I saw it on sale and just couldn’t resist the booziness, so I bought a small bottle.

Love this flanker, love the booziness and vanilla combination, definitely do get the TMW Parfum comparisons but this feels alot warmer and sweeter to me.

My Gurlain should be arriving today, so excited!!

Just wanted to put it out there for everyone:

I ordered an Al Ambra Dubai Musk from Private Blends as I’ve been ordering from them for as long as I can remember and originally heard they were a trustworthy retailer and the best one to buy from in Aus as well as being the cheapest I’ve found. When it arrived, I noticed that the batch code and serial number had literally been cut out of the box with what looks like a Stanley knife (photo attached).

I’m genuinely confused. Why would a trusted company be getting a knife and cutting batch numbers out of fragrance boxes? It just seems so suspicious. I can’t think of a single reason why a legitimate retailer would do that.

What makes it even worse is that I bought this as a gift for someone so instead of handing over a brand new fragrance I had to give them one that looked like it’d been tampered with before it even got to me. It doesn’t exactly scream trustworthy or reputable when you’re cutting essential information off products before sending them to customers.

I’m honestly both angry and disappointed. Now this experience left me with a bitter taste in my mouth and I know I’ll ever be shopping with them again. Private Blends markets themselves as a reputable retailer, but this is the complete opposite of what I’d expect. If your products are genuine, why remove the batch code? It just creates unnecessary doubt and makes customers question what they’re receiving.

This just angered me so much I had to express my frustration and disappointment with the rest of the fragrance community.

Cracking open my new bottle of SWY Spices.

It’s a leathery and peppery twist on the Stronger With You DNA.

Will have to see how it develops over the day as to where it sits in the SWY hierarchy.

Off to my sons soccer today need something that’ll last all day. Bois imperial, this is my last wear of the 10ml (loved it) buying a full Bottle no doubt. What’s everyone wearing today?

I’m wearing Mousse Illuminee today, wanted to get another hit of that beautiful oakmoss in the cold air and it has not disappointed.

Just snagged L’homme Ideal EDP for a ripper deal, would have bought a 30ml of Mousse Illuminee otherwise because, as I said, that oakmoss base just melds with the cold winter days like a whip of energy!!

Testing out a sample of Jovoy Private Label today. Opens a but medicinal and polarising but settles into an addictive earthy dry patchouli and vetiver. Has a unique minty smokiness which is hard to explain. 8.5/10.

Happy Financial New Year!

I’m wearing Mancera’s spin on the BR540 DNA. Very unisex, with spun sugar, jammy rose, booze and amber but still keeping the airy vibe. It’s one of my favourite Manceras.

I actually like it better than BR540 and Instant Crush.

More of a scent of the afternoon , but nonetheless still counts - Armani Eau de Cedre today , my favourite dry cedar that’s actually more of a black tea with cedar.

Smells beautiful like drinking a freshly brewed black tea out in the bush on a crisp morning.

I’ve risen from the dead , I’ve been sick and bed ridden allllll Saturday. Slept all day (think I woke up twice) I literally fell asleep twice trying to buy samples yesterday 😂My sotd will have to be something cozy I think I’ll put on my partners Eclaire - Lattafa.

I’m going to be buying some samples today if anyone has a recommendation or 2?

I smelled this on a female coworker and loved it so much that I'm seriously considering purchasing it. Has any male here pulled off wearing this? Also, the price is a bit steep - $673 for 100ml at Mecca.
