Another week in paradise my friends!!!

Wearing my newest addition, SWY Absolutely today. I was initially going to just keep this one on the back burner as I already have a number of the flankers but I saw it on sale and just couldn’t resist the booziness, so I bought a small bottle.

Love this flanker, love the booziness and vanilla combination, definitely do get the TMW Parfum comparisons but this feels alot warmer and sweeter to me.

My Gurlain should be arriving today, so excited!!

Happy Friday everyone!!! Starting us off at the crack of dawn today 😁

I’m wearing Mousse Illuminee today, wanted to get another hit of that beautiful oakmoss in the cold air and it has not disappointed.

Just snagged L’homme Ideal EDP for a ripper deal, would have bought a 30ml of Mousse Illuminee otherwise because, as I said, that oakmoss base just melds with the cold winter days like a whip of energy!!

Merry Weekend all! Hope you are all well.

I'm wearing Il Padrino today, and holy moley is this amazing. Now I really enjoy boozy notes, the closest thing I will get to booze nowadays, and this fragrance just showers you in boozy Amaretto right out of the gate, so for that, I absolutely love it.

I wholeheartedly prefer this to Initio side effect, which may be an unpopular opinion, but I can't help it, the syrupy blackcurrant/almond boozyiness is just elegant as fuck (pardon the Australian).

(mini review & first impressions) Rogue Perfumery decants

Just finished up smelling the drydowns of my 6 rogue decants and as an avid oakmoss enjoyer (wearing hacivat right now), I was thoroughly tantalised throughout my smelling experience.

Just wanted to give some initial impressions before I go to bed for the night and dream about Fougeres.

Chypre Siam - This was my least favourite of the bunch, I don't know if it is the civit, the jasmine or the spices but something about this one is a bit too screechy for my nose, I enjoy the oakmoss in it though. 6.2/10

Targhee Forest - Liked this one right off the bat and as it dries down it turns into this musky and dirty yet supple conifer mixture with that oakmoss sweetness to round it off, really like it. 8.4/10

Bon Monsieur - Similar to Targhee Forest except replacing the conifer with aromatic lavender and some spicy florals, would be better for wear in intense heat, not as big of a fan of the florals in this one but still nice. 7.9/10

Mousse Illuminee - Very herbal and mossy on the opening, and on my skin it dries down to this earthy heart, slightly sharp and heavy on the cypress but I think it does a precise balancing act and comes out winning overall. 8/10

Tabac Verte - Very floral heavy, has more of a tobacco leaf vibe rather than pipe tobacco, with some herbal mossy spice, not for me but definitely has a target audience who will appreciate it. 6.9/10

Fougere L'Aube - This one is my favourite, or was until it dried down, it was a very lovely campherous mossy lavender melody for a while, smooth and delightful, once it has dried down tohugh it has this one note, I don't know if it is Galbanum or Costus or something else completely but it is this distinct putrid animalistic note, almost with a vinegary quality to it that just appears if you stay too close for too long with your nose. Don't mind a civet note but this is no civet. 7.4/10

Overall, I really liked this set, and I really appreciated all the ways oakmoss can be used as a central note, even if not all of them were my cup of tea.

SOTD Thursday 25.06.26

Good Morning Everyone, hope you all are well!

Wearing one of my samples today, Zoologist - Koala, first smelled it last night and really liked the composition, was perfect for the weather today!

Really love the camphorous opening from the pine and eucalyptus, supported by the spices to give a really mellow but persistent aroma of calm and warmth, it definitely wasn’t overdone and doesn’t come close to the intensity of vicks which people on fragnatica seem to say it does.

Definitely can also smell the underlying geranium and Vetiver greenness underneath as the fragrance sits longer on skin, all around a very nice release.

Also smelled Elephant last night, a bit too much of a white floral bomb for my liking but would definitely make a nice option for those who do like it.

What an excellent haul!

Good Evening Fragrance Australia!

Ive had such a great success with my latest purchases and I just needed to share!

My Vibrato arrived yesterday and got around to opening it today and I must say, this may be my favourite fragrance of all time, or at least my favourite summertime scent. I just absolutely love the blend and it’s pure perfection no matter how close you smell it or what the weather is, just sublime, something tells me I will be going through this quickly.

Also happened to spot ombre leather parfum in chemist warehouse, and I almost had to do a double take when I saw the price, $170. I have never seen it this cheap from a retailer so I just had to grab it, had a sample and really liked it so the stars aligned for this one.

Overall, I think i’m going to be content for quite a while, what a spot of great luck.

I'm sorry Bal d'Afrique Absolu, maybe next time ;(

Just purchased a full bottle of Vibrato while it was still on sale and to celebrate my surprise raise at work :D I am definately happy with the purchase as I have already run through 20ml worth of samples and just love it to bits, maybe one of my favourite fragrances of all time, which meant it was very deserving as the newest edition to my full-size collection.

I was almost going to purchase Bal d'Afrique Absolu because I had been wanting it for ages, but ended up just opting to get a decant of that for now!

Has anyone in the history of time ever actually received any communication from Grove?

I have been waiting multiple days since my latest follow-up appointment to receive any sort of script that the doctor said he was "sending to my dashboard" during my appointment or SMS, that they say in their emails will arrive within 24 hours of the followup appointment. I have tried to call them but they have left me on hold for way too long for the middle of a work-day with no answer and have not responded to any of my emails (including ones I sent months ago about a different issue which ended up solving itself in the meantime).

Only thing I can think of which may be delaying the process is my last remaining repeat on my current script which is currently being processed by the pharmacy and/or the fact I saw a different doctor than usual and somehow it is a no-no in their system to have scripts under multiple doctors at the same clinic at the same time.

But I have no idea to what the problem may be as they are not even able to answer an email or a phone call to tell me, not sure what i'm going to do if I need to swap clinics and need a discharge statement, not interested in answering any queries when I am a paying customer let alone one trying to exit the company.

In the past, I have had no issues with my new and subsequent scripts being issued at grove and apart from this lack of communication and shitty website portal I actually have been pretty satisfied with my time with their product and pricing, but I am easy to please so I am aware i'm still probably getting ripped off, but I was content with it all the same?

Anyone else have similar problems with Grove?

Wearing Reef again today in this chilly weather, the oud and leather are so smooth and unobtrusive that I get compliments rather than complaints (like when I wear Oud Maracuja) when wearing this. So beautiful.

My mate came back from the UK and bought me a sample of WAS back to try.

Not going to lie, but this is awful, smells like straight incense, bitter iris and books in a dusty library.

Would not recommend (it’s not easy to find here anyway)

Wearing a sample of B-612 today! It’s a very pleasant aromatic scent, plenty of barbershop here! The sandalwood is very pronounced and makes a nice creamy and slightly spicy edge to the lavender.

Wouldn’t purchase a full bottle because it’s only a like for me at best but can appreciate the quality.
