Friend needs help with lavender

A friend of mine recently had a gardener put lavender into their yard. All but 1 of the plants seem to be thriving, and they're wondering if anyone might have an idea as to why this one plant is drying out. The gardener told them to water it since they're new plants and their wondering if they have over-watered this one plant or something else might be going on.

Update: Blueberry bushes that got destroyed by grubs

Hey everyone! First, thank you to every person who commented on my old post here about my blueberry bushes that suddenly died. We are novices with gardening but you all helped me so much and so kindly, that I wanted to let you know how everything ended up.

The culprits were big fat grubs that has eaten the roots nearly to oblivion. For the size of our bushes, we had barely a few inches of roots left. Still, we got rid of the grubs, set up a spot in the garden, filled it with 2-3 bags of blueberry dirt and set it in the ground with a dim hope of success.

Over time, the leaves turned brown and everything fell off, so my partner and I resigned ourselves to saying goodbye. Until we went out to cut it away and found brand new green shoots and leaves coming up from the base of both plants!! IT LIVES.

We're back to square 1 with them both, but it's not 0 so we're celebrating anyway.

Thank you for all your advice and hopefully we won't get eaten by bugs again😅😂
