Recent injury

I was using a small mouse for 2 days and started with wrist pain afterwards, long story short I was diagnosed with dequervains out of random and been in physical therapy for 2 months already....

2 Thursdays ago they hurt me in the physical therapy, I almost cried and got very uncomfortable, i got home into a deep dive of YouTube videos and started doing the YouTube stretches and exercises, got the massage balls and everything.

  1. was the physical therapist right? : pretty much was ultrasound, electrodes and 20 minutes of putting my thumb inside my fist and stretching the tendon (pretty much doing the dequervains test for 30s X3 times and the resting a minute) . --> this last part I watched in YouTube was a no-no, so I started thinking it could be a case of keeping you injured to charge for longer time and keep you in there. Was this exercise a good thing?

  2. I been doing wrist stretches from the YouTube videos since then and using the massage balls (any experience with this?)

  3. went to a deep tissue massage that help me relax the back, shoulders, and arm muscles (no touching under the wrist) and got a TON of relieve. (10/10)

  4. been using the orthesis most of the time (mostly out of being scared of hitting back)

Today it has been not such a good day as I had a bit of constant pain but my range of movement of the thumb is 100%

Any advices?

We're you able to cure just with physical therapy?

Should I go back with the previous therapist ?

How long did it take you to get back to health (and the gym) ?

Portfolio margin vs margin account

I was on my way to upgrade to margin account from a cash account.

The info I found was comparing mostly ibkr pro vs ibkr lite, but now that I am in the process of the change request I found out another option.

Here the main reason is to be able to access some of the funds of my account through margin loan without selling my positions, specially as gains are high (just like taxes)

My plan is to do a margin loan so that next year when my taxation relaxes a bit i can do some selling and pay it back.

I was targeting under 10% of the stock value.

Note: not an us resident.

Note 2: the ibkr interest charged is waaaaaaaay better than anything I could access at my country of residence
