Anyone seen rot like this before?

Checked on the cacti this afternoon to see this rot at the tip. It's been hot and humid on the gulf coast so I'm not really surprised. I hadn't been watering too much and the soil was bone dry.

I went ahead and chopped the tip off and checked the roots. Luckily those look good. I dusted it with sulfur and put it in a good spot to dry and callous.

I also included some surgery gore at the end lol

Mainly wondering if any of my other gulf coast homies have had random rot. This is my first season :)

Trying to save from root rot

This is one of my first trichs, and I believe I watered too soon after repotting. I pulled it out today and am letting it dry for a bit after trimming some rot away. Looks like I missed a few spots

Will it pull through? Or should I cut and reroot? The tip still looks healthy and my sulfur delivers tomorrow

New to nootropics, first week with Bromantane

I did a lot of research and decided to try bromantane. I've been struggling with fatigue and lack of motivation, and I'm extremely sensitive to stimulants. I can hardly drink caffeine anymore.

Back in college I tried some amphs. Too pushy for me and the comedowns were rough. I'm also predisposed to hypertension so those weren't a good idea for me.

With all this considered, bromantane sounded like a good option.

I ordered some and made a 50mg/mL solution in MCT oil. First few times were 12.5mg and now I'm at 25mg. So far, it's been great. Very very subtle but I'm feeling above the baseline. My normal negative and unmotivated feelings at work are now neutral and diligent. Maybe placebo? But I don't think so

I'm gonna give it a 4 week cycle and then break for a month. But so far I am enjoying the subtle stimulation and anxiolytic efffects
