One simple trick that improved my accuracy by a ton
I've been at this for a while and wanted to share something that made a huge difference for me.
**Anchor point consistency.**
Sounds basic, right? But I realized I was pulling to slightly different spots every shot. So I committed to one thing: same corner of my mouth, same cheek contact, every single draw.
Took about a week of focused practice, but my groups went from "spraying" to tight clusters at 10m. Before vs after was night and day.
What's the most impactful adjustment you've made to your form?
🎯 Keep shooting!
Quick poll - what's your current slingshot setup?
Just curious what everyone's running these days.
Mine:
- Frame: basic aluminum
- Bands: 0.55mm flat, 20-12 taper
- Ammo: 8mm steel
- Distance I practice at: 10-15m
What about you? What frame, bands, and ammo are you on right now?

Upgraded my bands this weekend — here's what I noticed with 0.55 vs 0.65
Finally got around to testing the new JINPU 3rd gen bands I picked up. Been running 0.55mm flat (20-12 taper) for a while on my aluminum frame, and decided to try the 0.65mm for outdoor practice.
First impressions after ~200 shots each:
**0.55mm (20-12 taper):**
- Snappier draw, easy on the fingers for long sessions
- Great for 10-15m target practice
- 8mm steel flies nicely, consistent groups
**0.65mm (same taper):**
- More punch, noticeably faster with 9.5mm lead
- Better for 20m+ when the wind picks up
- Takes more effort on the draw — fatigue sets in faster
What thickness do you guys run for different distances? And does anyone else track their sessions to see which combo actually performs better, or just go by feel?
Curious what everyone's experience has been. Keep shooting! 🎯
